It is often said that for every set of events that occur, there is always another side to matters. What else was going on at the time our heroes were acting, and how might things have turned out differently?
This collection consists of a series of alternate perspective tales and alternate versions of events within my Thomas and Friends stories. Each chapter indicates when and where it would take place in the title. Tags will be updated as we go along.

Hello!
Probably.
Same.
Ok, now I see where this story takes place.
downwards*
Oof.
Oh my. I can already imagine how it looks, and I think I can understand why Pipp is humiliated. She gave the crowd a new kind of view. One of which that shouldn't have been seen in public.
This "I can't find a new you" quote seems to have become a running catchphrase in this series a lot.
And now that I'm seeing what kind of dress Zipp was wearing for this sequence, I honestly can see why she would not be fond of it. There's no athletic practicality in it whatsoever.
But anyway, I think this series is a good one.
11534529
1. Nope. Though if it's any consolation to her at least the accident didn't start a revolution.
2. I'm concerned that my writing is becoming too on-the-nose. I'll probably go back and redraft the dialogue here.
3. Not to mention a problem with loco cabs.
2.bp.blogspot.com/-Jo_iJs2KT9c/WLB0WJNkFJI/AAAAAAAAzmA/2PIGHwPfHlwPYevTZC9ccp3ZOHab7zJswCLcB/s1600/DSC_1107.JPG
This is the cab of a Class 33. Lots of stuff to get snagged on.
4. This won't update as often as the others, as it is largely side things.
I'll also be blogging about my creative process later today.
11534607
Aye.
Understandable
Oh yes. I see what you mean, kinda makes you wonder how Pipp is able to do it when she's in her fancy dresses.
Sure.
11534744
1 and 2. Yes.
3. She usually presses down the skirt to minimise the risk.
4. It's up!
11534773
Either way, I could imagine she'd have some days where her dress gets caught on something and tears.
But, maybe she should try sporting dresses that hug her body a little better.
I have seen it and commented on it.
11534790
Hmmm. That seems like an interesting idea. I think there's a story in that.
11534852
I believe you are right on that one.
11534853
Cheers. Maybe something for a future Tales from the Mainland volume?
11534855
I would say so.
11534873
Noting it down.
I wish the next chapter was there now.
11535569
Patience, dear boy. Patience.
11535572
Okay.
11535578
Good fellow.
You know, Thomlight Sparkle 1 likes SuperMarioLogan.
11542368
Who is he?
11542370
SuperMarioLogan is a YouTuber who makes plush videos with frandises like Mario, Shrek and Toy Story, mixing them together.
11542375
I see.
11534520
1. Indeed.
2. I know what that feels like.
3. Fairly late in the story.
4. Whoops.
5. Having received a football (soccer ball) to the face, I can tell you that sort of impact isn't fun.

New chapter, everypony!
in the drink?
Sometimes I wish sir Topham hatt was this kind to Percy in the book and tv show adaptations, but since it's just made for kids, I can understand why.
Huh, was not expecting it be the same brake van!
They had that coming!
Good.
11560482
1. 'In the drink' is an English idiom meaning 'to be in some sort of trouble'. It has origins in the nautical world, and here serves as a pun.
2. Much of STH's attitude in the books is partially rooted in the era in which the Railway Series was written. The 1950s was a very different world to our own; Old Iron (book version) ends with a statement that the boys who played on James' footplate were beaten by their fathers, which was cut from the episode version as attitudes towards corporal punishment had changed a lot in the intervening 30 years.
3. I thought it would make a fitting allusion.
4. Indeed.
5. Safe to say, they're much better workers now.
Wow. This is actually a pretty nice way to rephrase STH talking to Percy in these 2 accidents. Good job.
11560671
Thanks. As explained above much of the content in TTTE is a product of the era in which it was produced.
11560673
Of course.
11560674
And part of my writing is updating the stories for, if you'll excuse the pun, a new generation, whilst retaining the same magic that characterises Awdry's work.
11560710
Of course.
11560968
That's more or less it really.
11561074
Sure.
11561076
Expect to see another update soon.
11561080
Good to know.
11561081
Np.

11534520
Good news! New chapter is here! There's also a possibility of a Dacia Sandero as well.
nice chapter mate keep it up
11562335
Cheers.
Am I glad to see haven not upset about this.
Agreed.
Huh, and here I thought she wouldn't know anything around th crystals!
At least it ended on a good note, I guess.
11562430
1. Haven may have a somewhat high opinion of herself and her family, but she's no fool.
2. You think that's silly? Holland and the Scilly Isles were at war for 335 years because a sailor got lost once.
3. She knew it existed, just not what it did.
4.Indeed. With a sort of peace made the two families can move on.
Wow, more English history I didn't know about.
Say, what were Alphabittle's men armed with?
11562581
1. Wars of the Roses. Fascinating bit of history.
2. That seems to be confusing writing on my part. Alphabittle is out there solo. The two guards are meant to be Thunder and Zoom.
Anyways, armament was G36 variants.
11562585
Ah.
Oh, okay, that makes sense.
Oh yes, of course. I remember that conversation now.
11562593
No problems. I was considering including the confrontation in the original draft of the story, but ultimately cut it as I was struggling to get it to work.
11562599
I understand completely.
11562600
Though I do plan on bringing Alphabittle back.
11562625
I would think so.
11562633
I haven't done much with him as a character.
11562677
Aye. Truthfully, I haven't either. Infact, my mind kinda put him in the back.
11562679
The show writers seemingly forgot about him too.
