in all of them  Nyx is back to being afraid of everything. Despite the fact that the story itself stated that she would be more assertive. Well of course  anyone would be more assertive after finding out they were a near indestructible goddess....

This is the second greatest thing ever just because it is a side story to the greatest story ever.  Past Sins is and will always be my favorite pony story

I found this to be a great addition to the main story. It really helped to delve into Spike's feelings on the matter, and it made him grow up a little as well, something that I really enjoyed reading here. Good work on that.

also this  explains one of the alterations to  the  season 2  edit of "Past Sins"  ( the version on this site) that i originally did not like. in the previous version Spike had a line that i was rather fond off . When  at the end, Twilight asks him to go get Nyx down for breakfast, Spike orignally said something i was very fond off  that went like "  She saved Ponyville and is cool in my book, but  she shoots ligthning and is ten times my size" . In the new edit he flat out panics and  asks if Nyx can be trusted. I thought   Pen Stroke had originally changed  it to better fit in with Spike's  panicked reaction to Luna in "Luna Eclipsed" and my instant reaction at the time was that  I  preferred that it  had stayed  as it was originally.

Now i see that line alteration was necessary to set up this fic.

I kind of wished there was a little bit of closure between Spike and Rarity and Spike with Nyx. Like Spike letting Rarity know how stupid he was being and patching things up. Spike could've shared one last scene with Nyx in like a bit of a brother and sister like relationship that starts to bloom. Other than that great story all around.

Good story. Not the best ever, but seems solid, giving some closure to nyx and those around her. The problem i have with it is that somehow i cant see granny smith as being that vindictive. While she may mistrust some, her holding extreme grudges just dosent fit right with my headcanon, although it is of course possible within canon. I also cant really see her blow off celestia (s opinion) like that, while she might be suspicious, i just cant picture her quite like this.

was stoked to see a nyx story pop up in the recent stories, was even more stoked to see it was by the person who created nyx. I've managed to restrain myself from reading the updated past sins since i ordered the book and plan on reading the hard copy version so this will definitely take away some of that waiting craving. Im even more stoked now that the hard copy is going to include another side story.

All I saw was "Official Side-Story to Past Sins" and insta-favourite.

Now I have to read this. Who the f- needs sleep?

Well... Screw sleep. Past Sins has been my top fan fiction for... well... It is what got me started on fan fictions. Anything officially related is good in my books. Liked and Faved, read, and eagerly awaiting more. Nyx is my favorite OC, after all.

So, do you think there will ever be an "official" sequel? I would love to see Nyx develop!

I was planning on writing something of my own, but I decided to check my notifications first and discovered this story.  Forget writing, there's a "canon" Nyx story to read!

Granny Smith did seem a little extreme in her hate, but her bad apple analogy made it more palatable after taking it, her old age, and the fact that's she's an Apple into account.  Old people can be real stubborn.  AJ is known for being stubborn. ...  Point made?

OMG THE STORY CONTINUES!!!!

Well, I was a little disappointed that this story didn't involve more interaction between Spike and Nyx.  Actually, even though Spike gets some good character development, overall there isn't much of a real story here.  No real tension or anything, just Spike talking to a few different characters before finally talking to one of the two ponies he needs to talk to most (Twilight), but still no real resolution between him and Nyx.

I was rather hoping to get more insight into Nyx's temper issues.  I mean sure it easy to make a few guess, after what she's been through and the fallout she'd still be dealing with, anyone would be a little on edge, but I'd still liked to have seen her and Spike actually reach a mutual understanding between each other, rather than just have Twilight reassure him that everything will get better as long as they support each other.

I did like how the whole incident with her becoming Nightmare Moon was compared to Spike's greed induced growth spurt issue, and how he rather insistently pointed out how different that was (which he did so with at least one rather valid point).  Still, that never really gets resolved either.  Over all this just feels like it is only half a story, all setup, but no real pay off.

This was a great story. It really helped answer any questions I had about Past Sins. I hope you'll be writing more. Maybe even a full length sequel. Now that'd be awesome

I really liked and i am glad you didn't villinaize spike on this. Still i would love for more from the dragon mainly as a more impassive third party not mention we didn't get to see much from him in the original story. And i loved the ending dream, but her temper flaring is a point of concern since she wasn't like that in her earlier days. So I to keep up the good work
