Unicorn Quick Caper and his much larger Earth pony pal Mugger, have had it with constantly having their schemes thwarted by the savvy law enforcement of Manehatten.
So when they hear about a fair-sized hamlet out in the middle of nowhere, stuck right beside the Everfree Forest and the main city of Canterlot, they see this as the perfect opportunity to snag some quick bits from the unsuspecting rubes that travel between the Forest and the way to Canterlot.
What could be more simple?! Avoid those pesky, nosy Bearers, lie in wait along the Road, jump out and surprise anypony with enough bits! With Caper's brains and Mugger's muscle, they'd soon be rolling in cash! Profit!

Trying to robbing Applejack would have resulted in a wuppin, trying to rob Maud? They are lucky to be alive!
Well now they can get a welcome to Ponyville party where they can find out about her sister.
Given their first victim, I expected a different Grey Mare. (Though given the cover image, that’s on me.) Still, a very valuable lesson learned. Nice to see people using the Tipper prompts. Thank you for this.

...but seriously, when I first read the prompt, she was the one pony that immediately sprung to my mind!
It only made sense: Okay, the average pony-on-the-street would have heard about Princess Twilight, and even the most stay-at-home would have the barest knowledge of the Elements of Harmony. But how many would have heard about an Earth pony MARE that could crush GIANT BOULDERS with only her BARE hooves as easily as styrofoam?!
I knew she was my pony for the job!
Plus, picturing the look on the criminals' faces...I'm not sure if I conveyed that well enough, but I certainly tried!

I was expecting the trio to be flattened by pianos and to trip on each other as Derpy clumsily moves around shouting, "I'm sorry!" and, "I just don't know what went wrong!"
The criminals when on the path to redemption after this primarily out of fear that the Grey Mare could return and finish them off.
Maud was only using 10% of her power. She could've gone ultra instinct but she felt bad for the poor robbers so she settled with only putting them in the hospital and possibly crippling them for life.
Probably a funny alt universe scenario of this would be Pinkie catching them.
Anyways, great story, I feel it gets cut off a bit towards the end but I really enjoy the characters presented and think with a bit more development they can be great characters. I especially love how Trusty is constantly dishonest and getting in over his head.

I am deeply honored by your taking the time to review my silly Comedy, and I will take to heart your critiques!
My very first story on this site, (which I've since deleted) was a real train wreck, but I loved it, because it was my first foray into pony-writing, as I had just joined the fandom. Ever since then, I have improved my writing and expanded my knowledge of the characters, and yet there's always more room to grow!
My love of all things Pony (well, most things) hasn't diminished, and I look forward to many more years of both writing and reading more fanfics, and possibly seeing more favorable reviews.
