Little Celestia's peaceful day is interrupted by her younger sister's scream! What could it be? An injury? A monster?? No, worse... the cookies are gone! Can Celestia and Luna put together the clues and track down the culprit? Will they ever see those cookies again?

Set in the same "universe" as my main story, Into the Light! (Consider this a... soft prequel, I suppose!)

Glad to see more of this verse from you. ;) Still cute!

Thanks, man! Honestly, it's a shame how quickly I forget how nice it is to write in this setting. I think I am quickly realizing how much I enjoy writing all-ages cartoony stories, even if I still lean heavily into the high-fantasy haha

This is exactly the demographic where my writing style and interests shine, which is why I'm still here strong. If you've ever seen 'Bluey' before, that's another shining example of my writing style, and the types of stories I want to tell. :scootangel: Showing healthy, positive relationships between friends and family, and subtly destroying toxic stereotypes along the way.

Oh, that was so freaking cute. ❤

Super cute story!

Kyoot... Too kyoot for this world.

That was a good story.

Thank you everyone so much for the kind words and the feature! I don't write new stories often but when I do I hope they put a smile on everyone's faces. ^^

If you want more filly hijinks featuring our beloved princesses, be sure to check out the novel I'm working on, Into the Light! I'm putting a lot of love and care into it, and it'd mean a lot to me if people would check it out. c:

They do look very cute in the cover art with those bows in their manes.

Woona and Celly fun

Ah, the simple life of a filly. When the most dramatic event is the disappearance of cookies.

“I haven’t had a cookie in like… an hour! I’m gonna starve!” Luna declared.

relatable

Celestia made a face, grimacing as she recalled the delectable pastries that had graced her tongue at lunch not two hours ago. The scent of fresh-baked, sugary dough immediately overwhelmed her memories, the sweet, partially-melted chocolate chips practically sticking to her tongue. She could almost feel the soft warmth of the desert between her teeth.

well now i also want some of those cookies!

Celestia stood beneath her sibling, allowing Luna to find a hoofhold on her back and use the support to push up and climb atop the counter.

aww, that is so cute! love that ponies can do this because their backs are perfectly functional platforms

Morning Glory bit her lip. “I don’t like eavesdropping, so I kept trotting… but… one of them sounded like your mother. Ahh, I couldn’t possibly mistake that graceful, regal tone…” the mare mused, seeming to relax at the mere mention of the queen.

oh, to live under the Equestrian monarchy! to have the deference without the toxicity and exploitation that comes with such power imbalances. i can’t imagine it for humans but i can for ponies, which is why they are better than we are

Luna’s eyes looked up to the ceiling. “Uhh… I do! But I really like, y’know… the thing we’re learning about right now.”

Celestia squinted. “Manners…?”

“Yeah! That!”

hehe, though that makes sense for Luna being more stiff and formal when she is older. she really did like manners after all!

Celestia’s horn ignited, gripping the handle as the door opened with a click. Within the room sat a mighty alicorn with a platinum coat; their mother Stella in all her radiant glory. Her curled mane was painted with the colours of the dawn in a gradient of ocean-blue, orange and gold, her sapphire eyes soft like her smile. “What is it, my little ponies?” she asked.

love how very Celestia Celestia’s mom is

and a satisfying resolution to the mystery! love how the clues fit together, with Luna’s use of a stepladder echoed in her needing to climb on Celestia’s back to fully get onto the counter, and the cookies being on Stella’s favorite plate. and of course, Luna lying to her sister because she felt neglected by her is adorable and understandable for a child to do, but i love how that foreshadows what happened between the two later with Nightmare Moon, intentionally or not.

super adorable, thank you for writing!
