Oh I would LOVE to work in a mattress store! I would make it a little game, see how many people go completely insane after purchasing one of my "special" mattresses! HAHA WHAT FUN! Perhaps I would even turn all the mattresses into CHEESE! It would be absolutely CRAZY!

Aside from that, I want to see where you're taking this. There aren't enough people willing to create an OC who isn't super-special-awesome and is instead just a regular Ponyville resident, and so you really have created a good character. The humor is always more witty than random, so you've also got that going for you. It's hard to explain exactly why I like this story, but I do. Good luck with wherever it goes.
You ended the story when it hardly seemed to get anywhere. The daily snippets of Lazy Days were rather interesting, sad to see them go

I do find these story snippets rather interesting and entertaining. You have a lot of room to play around with and lots of characters, you can use. Like OC's or minor villains like Trixie, Gilda, Flimflam brothers. You can also use plenty of interesting side characters Like Zecora (Getting the rhyming to just the right pitch, is going to be, quite a bitch. (Heh see what I did there rhyming
))
You could even have Lazy hire a Pegasi to make Cloud beds for other Pegasus ponies
