Not yet, they've both got a lot to learn.
I will admit: I have a bit of a hard time imagining Spitfire falling apart into a crying mess, but I'm reminding myself that this is before she becomes the hardass she is now.
Plus, I'm a sucker for Soarinfire anyway, so I'll be keeping an eye on this one. I have a good feeling about this one.

I guess I didn't make it super clear, but Soarin and Spitfire both are probably just about 20ish in this part of the story. They are very young and inexperienced.
By the time that Soarin is telling the story in the bar, they're in their late 20s, approaching 30.

Good to see this continue. Also good to see Spitfire and Soarin maybe not being so terrible after all? Only time will tell, but I imagine they've still got plenty of idiot left in them.
Anyway, completing these chapters was a little rough, but as the saying goes - no pain, no gain.

Chapter two is feeling good.
Chapter 3 felt short but has been a real fun read.
