I didn’t know what to say. I looked over at the victor. Derpy was prancing around shouting with the rest of the crowd like it wasn’t her that won. She had taken those goggles off that Doctor Whooves made her. She said they helped her see but how did she get so fast?

Nice! The callback to where Derpy was first in races but with her vision getting worse is something I liked a lot. Correcting glasses returning Derpy to her prime is a nice concept

I personally expected the investigation part to be a bit longer, but at the end the story wasn't about Scootaloo being angry at Derpy, but being a sister to Rainbow.

The "having to be best" turning to "there is always someone better" is always something someone good at something has to learn, and you showed it with Rainbow here, or in Scootaloo's case "the hero cheered for being beaten". I loved the message at the end, how Scootaloo wasn't supposed to cheer up Rainbow. Also, showing how she‘s just repeating Twilight without understanding and Rainbow calling it out was a nice addition.

Overall, a good premise, nice story and a heartful moment at the end.
