The Luxury Lotus Spa prides itself on rest, relaxation, and comfort. Sometimes they do get referrals from therapy clinics or have clients with deeper pain. Both Lotus and Aloe are well-qualified to handle these sessions, but often the responsibility of running the place leaves no time for the personal touch.
Enter Redheart. When she accepted the twins' invitation to moonlight as a spa therapist, it meant she could break away from the responsibilities and rush of her hospital duties. The slower pace and casual caseload gives her a chance to refocus, get back to the basics, and use some of the skills she learned before becoming a nurse.
Done as a commission for Doomslayer3. Think of it as a sort of novelized ASMR, if you like.

We had to make sure that the first couple of characters fit well together and stuff. Can't go commissioning a metric ton of massage and not have it read to your liking.
I'm really enjoying this story a lot as it brings back memories when I had to visit the local chiropractor after getting 3-4 herniated discs in my lower back. And it was the WORST pain I ever felt in my life.

I only read this chapter so far, so here's what I feel like is missing.
Compression socks. Anyone who works while standing all day will swear by Compression socks. Especially nurses.
That's really the only thing I feel is missing, but that's not that can be skipped easily and still be fine.

Man, that was a really relaxing read. Nicely done! Like your description said, this felt like literary ASMR.
This was an enjoyable read. Not particularly ambitious, but well-executed. I can see what you mean by "novelized ASMR". This had simple, calming dialogue, good sensory descriptions, and good attention to detail.
