Definitely a good start. Haven't seen any of the WoW old gods in stories here so I'm expecting awesome thing.
Aside from N'zoth, Yogg saron is my favorite of the old gods. It is nice to finally see a story about him here. The only thing I want to point out is that all old gods are experts of manipulation. Yogg saron may not be the best schemer, but he is still very competent.

Your off to a great start, that's for sure. Sadly, Yogg's character never saw as much development as n'zoth did, but I personally like how you portrayed him here. As for a story direction, it is difficult for a member of one of the eight factions to change their ways, but not impossible. Lothraxion is a dreadlord that was turned to the light. Just keep in mind that if you go that route it will require a lot of development on Yogg's part. Alternatively, you can go the villain route were Yogg bides his time, builds up a following, and have him make a grand reveal. The challenge with this route is having him maneuver around the elements which shouldn't be an issue for him. He is aware of the elements and at the very least has an inkling to what they are capable of. I personally think this would be the most in character for him. Having his reveal intersect with one of the other villain's appearance would definitely be a fun read. I am of the impression that this story is post nightmare moon, but before any of the rest is that correct?

First of all, thanks for the response. Second, you are correct, the story (excluding prologue) takes place after the Nightmare Moon incident, but before anything else in the series. Major events will be covered in the story as it goes on tho. Third, if I go the ultimate villain route for Yogg, then it most likely will be a nice, slow build up to his reveal. I was writing out the ideas for that route, and came up with him revealing himself at around the same time Sombra gets brought into the picture. Then I read your comment, seeing that you had the same idea lol.
Anyway, thanks a lot for the ideas. If I do go the villain route, I just have to think how to end it, but that would come later.

Correct. Yogg has taken the form of a large unicorn so far on Equestria. His voice is also different as a pony so he can sound more normal.

I was originally thinking he would reveal himself right around the time Sombra shows up, but that depends on how long the story is before getting there. I will watch some of the newer episodes to know if I could extend the story and reveal Yogg later on.
So at this point, I am still deciding.
This story really deserves more likes. I'm hoping it will get them as it get's longer, since a lot of people seem to hold off on shorter stories out of fear they will die early on. Really liking the story so far and I hope to see more.
And looks like Yogg-Saron gained himself a Windi-bro. I hope this is the start of a long and fulfilling friendship filled with villainy and suffering.

PS: I don’t want it to seem like everything Yogg does is easy, but at the same time he is a being far stronger than any other in Equestria. For him to have a considerable opponent, they would have to be very, very strong. So, with this story, I will try to make it more psychological. Yogg is going to try and deceive everyone—or everypony rather—until he gets everything he needs to dominate the world.

This is Yogg we are talking about. It would be reasonable to believe that down the line when he regains most of his strength it will be easy for him to do what he wants. The challenge will be staying hidden until then to avoid getting blasted by the orbital friendship cannon before he has a chance to do something about it.
