Still pretty bad though she got taken out easily like that though..
The show kept having her either sidelined or just taken out so much.(Whats worse is the writers kept having her brush it off instead of being bothered by that. I know it happens to Celestia too but she at least has "manages to keep Equestria protected on her own for a 1000 years" there.)

Sadly since the actual Dark Spike(the one that has been implanted by Sombra's tampering on Spike's egg) is gone, a rematch is impossible so we don't know if Luna's line is true. So the embarrassment she suffered is still there..

Wished the show could have touched on Luna's dark powers there instead of just forcibly purifying her and going "darkness is always evil" and her losing said powers.

From the longer story description and the tags, without having read it yet, I would expect...
The sisters are barren, but Spike can impregnate them with his magic cum because he's a dragon. But not only them, he'll also make a harem out of the Mane Six, maybe the dragon girls we know, probably Gabby, and the CMC. Flurry, maybe, if she's old enough. Essentially, all the girls, which makes me hope this Equestria has a ludicrous female-to-male ratio or Spike collecting literally every desirable female in the world like Pokemon feels a little unfair to everyone else, who wasn't born a super-special dragon.^^
There might be a cabal of Racist Unicorn Nobles (it's always Racist Unicorn Nobles, can't remember the time it was either not a Unicorn or not a noble) as well who wish to exile and/or kill Spike for not being a Unicorn, which is totally unfair even if Spike once almost destroyed Ponyville through dragon greed-growth, which is probably not going to be brought up. The chances of this are much higher if it's a "Prince Spike" scenario.

I'm curious to see the story then. I also know of the picture series with a Sombra-corrupted Equestria. It's very much like Fall of Equestria with Sombra, but do note that I actually like FoE so I'm not bothered at all. I rather enjoy it. Back to this story, if Spike doesn't end up with all the mares in the land, then I'm eager to see if and what other relationships develop alongside his. Maybe he can help others win their own love. If Spike's a prince here, maybe he can have a slightly less antagonistic relationship with, say, Blueblood, help him become a better person and a proper royal in his own right. I knew a fellow who was quite in love with shipping Blueblood with Gilda, of all things, but I digress. Sorry for rambling.
... of course, I'm curious about the same in the Sombra-verse, we saw plenty of the Spike harem there and I'd love to see what that world has to offer too...
