Pipsqueak had always dreamed about being a pirate: sailing through the sky wherever the wind took him, with nopony trying to tell him what to do. When he discovered his special talent was captaining airships he decided to make his dreams a reality.

Over a decade later he is the modest captain of a modest ship. Active enough to maintain his ship and crew on small-time adventures, but not notorious enough to have the attention of the authorities. A splendid life indeed.

His best friends: renown ace fighter pilot Scootaloo, aka The Baron von Awesome, the (slightly eccentric) mistress of machines Apple Bloom and his conspicuously stable first mate Sweetie Bell, serve as his world-class crew. Together with their captain, this tremendous trio will approach any obstacle with the same unbound enthusiasm that got them their cutie marks. What could possibly go wrong?

Unfortunately for Pip, things don't always go smoothly, and fate is about to pull him from the helm of his ship to the helm of all of Equestria. May Luna have mercy on his soul.

F.Y.I.

Finally posted it ehh. Glad your sharing it, it's a good story.

i cant understand how Trixieburg's full name is pronounced... which by my logical means this is gonna be good, time to watch and fave.

Fun fact: chapter 1 was originally 2,854 words. After a good amount of peer review from several ponies, including Piquo:pinkiesmile:, I decided to rewrite it and ad some extra details. the result is what you see here. fun how that works.

question: is teh cover art a recolor?

1357795 Yes. When I saw this I I thought it was just perfect:raritystarry: and commissioned Firgof to do a :scootangel:Scootaversion for me.

1359871 ikr, it kinda gives a "last stand" feel

1359881 Exactly. I wanted the cover art to reflect a major moment in chapter one. Scootaloo getting blown up was about as pivotal as ch1 got so it worked exceptionally well. (Scoot fans don't fret, she's my favorite to; once she heals she'll be back in the saddle like a pro.)

1359907 the picture kinda reminds me of the ending to Halo:Reach

1359912 Lol:rainbowlaugh: it so does. I never thought of that.

FIRST AND AWESOME ALTHOUGH I PREFER PIP X LUNA THIS IS JUST AS AWESOME:rainbowdetermined2::pinkiesad2:

1477741 :raritycry:CANTERLOCK ROCKS YOUR SOCKS OFF:flutterrage:

There should me a metal band called CANTERLOCK, that would be so beautiful.

:rainbowderp: YES YES HOLY SHIT YES DUDE THAT WOULD ROCK. :rainbowdetermined2::yay::rainbowwild:

1477972 ...Celestia (Guitar), Luna (Guitar, lead vocals), Cadence (Keyboard, backup vocals), Chrysalis (Drums) and Discord (Bass) form a band called CANTERLOCK and go on tour around the multyverse. The head line is "CANTERLOCK WILL ROCK YOUR SOCKS OFF"

I like this idea...

Make it a story bro. You will be deemed most awesome in my book. :rainbowdetermined2::moustache:

I saw when youp spelled ccorner you had it as cornier. you also said pleas you left out the E in oh your welcome to.
:raritywink::twilightsmile::pinkiehappy::yay::ajsmug::derpytongue2::derpyderp1::derpyderp2::scootangel:

1920152 So, what you're saying is I only made 3 mistakes? Cool!

2286264 Yes, yes it will. I'm so, so sorry its taking so long. I have an actual job now and, being mildly autistic, it's a very stressful thing.

Again, I apologise for taking so long, life and all that, but I promise there will be more. at the moment I plan on around 25 to 30 chapters and a few world building prequels (specifically some origin stories).

I'm also considering submitting it to eqd to get a little mote interest (at the moment I'm only writing for 18 ponies) but we'll see.

3067804 Love your enthusiasm, Paint. It really lights up my day.

3068898 It's not like I originally got a account so I wouldn't miss any updates *shifty glance*

Lol Baxter

My parents had a Scottish Terrier named Baxter.

Interesting concept but man you really need to work on your spelling, punctuation and grammar. I'd try and get a proofreader if was you.

P.s Its plane not plain.

I read the first chapter, and seriously, I like... But oh my dear sweet Celestia, you need an editor/proofreader. So much misplace punctuation, so many homophones and spelling mistakes. I don't even know where to begin. I want to read more, but my urge to pick up a red pen is too overwhelming,

Ya, I would love to get an editor. If you feel up for it I could send you a link to the Google doc, or if you know someone with some time to kill...

Well I'd hazard a guess that your first language isn't English? If it is I'm really sorry and I don't mean to offend you but your spelling needs some work, along with your grammar. I saw a comment about you looking for a editor and if you still need one a can give it another read through and point out all the fixes. Alternatively there are a few groups on this site dedicated to helping authors find proofreaders and editors

4869372
Thank you for suggesting groups. I found a proofreading and editing group with a sizable pool. I intend to pursue that this weekend.

In regards to my spelling, English is my first language, and I speak it quite well, but due to certain nurological anomalies I didn't attain literacy until 4th grade and my spelling will never be 100%, that's a big part of why I need an editor so much. (Don't worry over much about making offense, I am appropriately aware of my short comings and don't much mind one way or the other.)

4875764 Well I'm still sorry. I'd say if was your use of all these German words that confused me.

4876232 Lol, ya. The German words are because the griffins invented zeppelins, so their traditionally named in Greifen. (also German sounds cool.)

Nice to see this is still alive and kicking, though I'm one to talk with over a year between updates now. Might have to go back and reread some more of the prior chapters to help refresh myself on your lore, but that really isn't an issue with a good story. Looking forward to seeing what this whole attack is about, seeing everyone come together to get the main plot moving again, and kicking some plot doing it.

Also, who the hell am I first on this chapter? Did everyone else take a vacation when you posted this? True, I'm more of a lurker myself, but I'll usually at least drop something on interesting chapters.

6047460 Ya, its actually pretty embarrassing that this took me so long. (It's mostly Sweetie Belle's fault.:unsuresweetie:)
I'm excited to be finishing the character establishment arc though. The next chapters will be fun. (For me at least.) I really wrote this to get more "high-flying adventure" type stuff to read. (Also, I really want to write more Scootaloo. She's my fave.:scootangel:)

As for you being first, I did post this the day before Everfree NW soooo........

Pipsqueak had always dreamed about being a pirate: sailing through the sky wherever the wind took him, with nopony trying to tell him what to do. When he discovered his special talent was captaining airships he decided to make his dreams a reality.

Sadly, he later found out that pirates sailed the seas and not the air. He was technically a terrorist attacking other airborne vessels.

Joking aside, this looks interesting as a story. Will give it a read at least.

You know...The standard procedure when doing a bombing run is to pull away immediately after the package is dropped right? An Ace like Scoot shouldn't have made that mistake. Unless you plan to go kamikaze into enemy's bombers like some Mig-21 Vietnamese Pilots then you pull them away the momment it was comfirmed that the missile/bomb/rocket is heading for target.

6473444 Generally they weren't trying to look like badasses.

4878816 Well, for the record, I think it's der großartige und mächtige Trixieburg. Genitive, and all that. :raritywink:

6843038 I'm pretty sure you're right. I thing it sounds better my way though. :duck::facehoof:

6843262 Well, probably doesn't matter. In spoken German, you pretty much pronounce them the same unless you're stressing them. :twilightsheepish:

6843568 Good to know! If you see any other errors feel free to pm me. (I've been using Google translate:ajsmug:)

6844674 Please don't change it to "der". It is "Die Burg" - the castle

Well that got crazily out of hand super quick.
