This was one of my own ideas, based around the thought of "how would I act in this situation?" I came to the conclusion that insanity would be the first thing to happen after prolonged isolation, but after talking with beirirangu, we figured Fluttershy would be the best companion in Subnautica.

After re-reading this story a couple times, I realized how lucky he was, the Lifepod Fluttershy was in wasn't THAT far from the seamoth's crush depth...granted, that is over half the depth that the mk 1 depth mod adds.... so......but yeah, she COULD have been in a lifepod that went deeper...
TBF Spike doesn't need to teach her that much...She apparently managed to swim 68 meters from her lifepod up to the seamoth.....

Yeah, I beat the game once, stopped for a bit, and now I'm playing it again. I started writing this well after I got into the game for the second time, so I have to slow my progress in-game so I write this at the same pace.
A Christmas chapter, so that's why it took longer, but it was worth it. Great story so far, carry on.👍

PS: If you want to make it really dramatic, Spike could find her alive, because the survivor of lifepod 12 is in the final stage of the Kharaa Bacterium.

Umm... That's the life pod Fluttershy came from. I missed a detail by saying the Seamoth went upto the life pod, so that might have caused some confusion. I chose that life pod for Fluttershy because the survivor in the game was a doctor and Fluttershy is a veterinarian, which is close enough to a doctor.

I just realized something: Lifepod 6 was blown up by a simple flare, so how is it possible that lifepod 5 survived an INTERNAL FIRE!

Honestly, the best answer I can think of is that life pod 6 was damaged and the fuel lines were exposed. Life pod 5 on the other hand, was completely structurally sound, aside from the panel that flew off, so the fire was contained inside. Thought this answer still doesn't explain how your character was unconscious for 3 hours with a raging fire inside of their life pod.
