Now about this little gem of yours. I remember reading Three Tenses of Friendship and I can easily see how the two relate, and yet this one is easily able to stand on it's own.
The way you crafted this around well cocktails was quite interesting. I didn't exactly know where it was going right away but once EverLight showed up, I was able to piece it together.
I always enjoy reading your stories and I feel like this one is certainly one of your better ones yet, perhaps even better than Three Tenses of Friendship and the message here is quite well executed. Good job, keep up the great work. <3

It's a nice story. I think chapter two is unneccesary. Chapter one makes very clear what's going on.

Glad you enjoyed it. A few folks have pointed out that Chapter 2 may be unnecessary overall, but I wanted to give the story a properly written sendoff. The fact that most of my prereaders and editors didn't pick up on the big reveal in Chapter 2 was another reason.
