You’ve got a few grammar errors throughout, specifically mission periods on sentence endings.

I had thought fire surfing was something that the dragons did in an episode where Spike retrieved Flash Magnus’ shield from another dragon. So I was a little confused when the story went a different directions.

This was a bit basic for my taste, but not bad for your first story. I’ll read some of your newer stuff later.
