This was short, but quite well done. I especially liked the commonality pointed out here between Starswirl and Tirek - how they were both bullheaded/obsessive in the pursuit of their goal and how that tainted the relations that they had. Thing is, of course, Starswirl eventually opened his eyes to the truth. And Tirek won't.

This was awesomely written. And such a shame we never got to see Scorpan in the finale

With everything going on in the finale, I guess it was a bit too crowded to introduce a so-far-unseen character in the middle of it. Though I did hear that Scorpan was supposed to show up in the Movie in an earlier draft, where his staff would get stolen by the Storm King in the first scene, thus explaining where that staff came from and why the Storm King wasn't with Tempest during the invasion scene.

REALLY good job on the dialogue between Tirek and Starswirl. As was said by other reviewers, it was some excellent compare and contrast concerning their points of obsession.
