Fanfic's aren't a strong area with me, but I wanted to be able to watch some that i'm following easier.
When Twilight botches a new teleportation spell she was trying, the main 6 find themselves split between two different worlds. Twilight, Fluttershy, and Applejack wind up in a place called "Dar Shan", while the other three wind up in one called "Rainbow Land". The group will have to reunite before they can go back to Equestria. Will other events intervene before then though?

That, and i think wildfire got cancled way to soon. But so was the way of the 1980s cartoons if they didn't sell toys they would get canceled.
Shows like that and my little ponies tales, got canceled before they really got a chance, and had interesting, "long story plots". Pony tales, a world without magic, where earth ponies live with tech. Cars, planes, tv, cruise ships. And in all of this you have an orphan pony, patch, who believes in dragons, see's ghosts, is saved by an ALICORN and Pegasus and told by them she has a special destiny.
And... they cancel the series... LOL.
