Trixie needs to stop doing mescaline before every show.
Good thing she has good friends.
And friends don’t let friends do drugs.

Now, for the serious. Schizophrenia or delusions of grandeur are psychoses that fit the bill here, but the detachment from reality is usually permanent. Someone suffering from a psychosis would watch the video and either not see any problem with their performance or would invent a conspiracy (in the case of paranoid schizophrenia) to describe that the video had been altered. It doesn’t matter how bad they look, they’re still the best.

I think what this equates to is mild hallucinations brought on by an overactive imagination and a strong desire for greatness. Trixie wants to be great, and she may have convinced herself that she is, so she sees what she wants. But she’s sane, or she wouldn’t be able to grasp the concept that her performance was bad. Them taking her to a counselor is probably the best thing, though they should have discussed it with the counselor before possibly breaking her mind.

Fun slice of life here, especially since Trixie got some love.

yup, that is more accurate of the psychoses than what i put in

this weekend i put it out on the mlp discord group i'm in that i would write them any fic of their choice, and he took me up on it. he requested it on sunday, and i finished it wednesday. i want these commissions to get done as soon as i can (to practice writing in a short time frame) while also putting in the effort to make it seem like it would fit in with the style of an EqG short. overall, i think i accomplished that, and i have no doubt any further commissions will be better in both quality and accuracy
