Battle of the bands, right? I believe Anon-A-Miss happens after Rainbow Rocks, and thus after the battle of the bands, so it takes place after.

I've only read a couple of Anon-a-Miss stories, so most of what I know of them is from rumour and summaries. I know the Dazzlings are often brought in on Sunset's side, and I did wonder about mentioning the idea of them backing up the CMCs in the group prompt. But having them meet afterwards, when there's still fallout, that's an interesting one and not one I'd have thought of.
I spotted a couple of hanging sentences, by the way, where it looks like the end got chopped off:

Personally, I'm not too fussed about the chair. But those two other elements give this all the makings of a perfect thing
Anyway, this was a great idea for a story, and I thought it handled the chemistry between the two lead characters well. I'm not quite sure why Adagio was that scared of Rarity, but neither was she. I'm intrigued by Adagio's suggestion of abandoning friends who get you into trouble, since she's the one who does most of the work among the Dazzlings.

I am not very happy with the whole "Anon-A-Miss" gossip spreading story stuff. We saw that in canon, with the school paper, and the three of them learned quickly that this was a bad idea.
And instead, that story was just the same thing to an extreme, with massive (if not at least partially realistic) fallout.
Here? We have someone looking at what happened, and actually looking at "What do I want in the future?".
Knowing "Harmony" and such, I think a more canon response would be for Sweetie to, now that she realizes how wrong that was, to convince her friends of this so that all of them behave better in the future. Not to say "I need to protect myself and let them get into their own trouble".
That said, I still like this story.

You know I was expecting each of the sirens to be focused on a member of the CMC. I was thinking Aria to be the one to give advice to Scoots.
Also this is one of the few times in a fanfic where Sonata is shown to be mature and smart while retaining their personality from RR.

I mean most fics that I read that have Sonata always be portrayed as a clueless klutz who can't do anything on her own. For me, this Sonata is really refreshing to see because we see that Sonata is more than meets the eye and can show why she's been part of the Dazzling Trio. I mean why else did Adagio invite Sonata to her team all those years back in Equestria?

I hate to say it but yeah this may be for the best. In some version all three choose to do Anon A Miss and not stop, in others it was two of them that kept it going despite the misgivings of the third member.
In another one of them sold out the others or tried to, abandoning what bonds they had in the end.
So the sirens all had their takes on the CMCs each with their own methods surprisingly fitting each of their personalities. Let's see how it will all connect in the end.
