This story is a sequel to Last Stand at Sweet Apple Acres
Not long after the Canterlot Music Festival, the new theme park Equestria Land is poised to go. Being the new big attraction in the area, it's attracted a lot of guests.
Because of course, in a theme park that's just opened, with seven themed lands, 9 big coasters, a log flume, and untold numbers of smaller flat rides (including a haunted castle), nothing can possibly go wrong.
Can it?
Rollercoaster of Friendship if it was written by a theme park nerd.
WHINNYLAND!

Hehe. The park's construction is remarkable, given very few characters even know of Equestria's existence.
The Apple Family discover the joys of 1950s Summer Saturdays in the South West.

Well, as anybody who has ever watched old British Transport Films can testify, the Riviera was always popular. It still is; my one visit to the Paignton and Dartmouth railway was a busy day indeed.
That special really could have used some genuine theme park vibes, as it just ended up feeling kind of flat. Perhaps this story will help!

Agreed. Thrillville was one of my favourite games as a youngster, and theme parks are places where you can have great stories. Sadly, the original story ended up more feeling like a typical high school friend drama taking place in a theme park, not a theme park adventure with friendship issues, which is what I think the writers intended to happen.

I preferred Roller Coaster Tycoon.
9947872
Lovely that you chose to stop by.
9947889
I only ever played Rollercoaster Tycoon 2, though.
This feels like a fun read.
Great job!
9947905
Thanks.
9947906
Nontheless, cheers.
9947914
Anytime Blue!
9947918
Indeed.
9947922
Hooray!
9947956
I thought it would be fun to run things through a background character's eyes.
9947964
Glad to hear that works.
9947972
Whoo.
9947978
Yes.
9947986
I may tackle Spring Breakdown as well.
9948107
I don't think so.
9948229
It's on YouTube.
9948243
You can set YT to block certain video types. You know that, right?
9948253
You've sent me YouTube links in the past.
9948268
OK then. I'm about to link you something incredible;
9948283
OK. I mean, who hasn't heard of Top Gun?
9948297
Point out which rock you have been living under so I can have it destroyed in an airstrike.
9948360
Bring the rain, boys!
9948654
Yes.
9948683
Hoorah!
9948703
Yes. Indeed.
9948717
Yes.
9948778
Yee-haw!
9948861
Or any of them.
9948868
Thay would hurt
9948875
Yes.
I didnt realise they were that depserate for money that they ran more than one car at a time on the ride, which makes the computerised active braking system triggerable at all times, including the top of the loops etc. Im old scholl in that the design of the coaster is powered by mechanics, the shape of the track being the logic, and the only magnets being the permanent ones used for speed control if absolutely necessary?
9949631
It's standard practice to run multiple trains. It reduces wait times.
9949778
Hello.
9949794
What thinkest thou of the chapter?
9949909
Vignette is, sadly, all too common in modern society. Country folk get enough bad press, frankly!
9949918
The number of people I see in rehearsal texting is maddening.
I dread to think what Vignette would be like at the wheel.
9949933
Especially if she was driving a golf cart!
9950000
Especially if you run into trouble.
9950023
Idiots?
9950104
Thank heavens it wasn't something worse.
9950129
It wasn't Jason, was it?

Jason Vorhees, antagonist of the film Friday the 13th. He was a boy who nearly drowned at a summer camp in the 1950s, and as an adult in the 1980s (when the film is set) he sets out to have his revenge.

Yikes.
