Canterlot High School is having a talent show, and the Rainbooms are eager to join in. However, things get complicated when the human world version of Sunset Shimmer suddenly makes an appearance. After much confusion and several mix-ups, she finally meets her counterpart and her friends. Unlike her counterpart, however, she's shy and reserved. The girls try to befriend her, but this Sunset doesn't seem to be too interested in friendship. She is, however, very interested in the rumors of magic surrounding Canterlot High, and seems to be hiding something magic related herself. And when magical mishaps begin to occur, the Equestria Girls begin to suspect that this new Sunset may be behind them. Is it possible that she's evil and power hungry the way her counterpart once was, or is there something else at work?

I'm sorry, but I don't think I'll be able to continue this. You've got an interesting concept, and I wish I could go on, but your use of italics for alt versions of the characters is distracting - italics are normally used, from what I've seen, for emphasis, not differentiation. Every time I hit an italicized name, I'm popped out of the story trying to figure out why the name got emphasized before remembering, and that's rendering the story unreadable for me.
I wish you well, and hope that I'm in the minority on that issue and that your other readers aren't troubled by this.

Nah, both Celestias would need to protect the ex-Sirens from all 16 of them.
Such a good chapter with some emotion and explanations. Human Sunset's parents having died in a fire and Sunset not wanting to relive it by not making friends when given the opportunity to. Sunset wanted the magic to feel stronger, which is a pretty reasonable motive. And man, what a twist when the choker was actually made from the Dazzlings pendants, and the trio themselves will face hard punishments from Celestia and Luna (and the foreshadowing of Find the Magic.) Also, since Sunset allowed Princess Twilight to teach her about friendship, that likely means she'll go live in Equestria, mirroring pony Sunset living in the human world. Can't wait to see what the next (and likely final) chapter brings us.

Glad you liked it. I was originally going to have the choker be made entirely from Adagio's pendant since she was the only one seen picking up the pieces of hers before the Dazzlings ran away. When Find The Magic came out and showed that they still had their pendants, I thought I wouldn't be able to use that idea. But then when it showed that their pendants had pieces missing, I just tweaked my idea a bit to have the choker be made up of fragments from all three of them. So, phew, close call.

Don't mention it! Can't wait to see what happens next chapter, like Human Sunset finally becoming friends with everyone at CHS along the pony Mane 6, an interaction with Flash Sentry and Princess Twilight (and maybe Sci-Twi too) and the Mane 7 finding out about the Dazzlings being punished.
Also, I just realized the picture of pony Human Sunset actually foreshadowed her move to Equestria!

I believe the epilogue will have human Sunset arriving in Equestria and adapting to living in it and being a pony. She will also start making friends with the other ponies like Lyra and BonBon.

What a great and close to canon story! Makes sense Human Sunset would travel through Equestria cause if this story was canon, it would explain why she hasn't appeared. I agree with a sequel showing human Sunset's adventures, but I'll respect your decision not to do one for the time being. If the writers actually wanted to make Human Sunset canon, they should make a story like this!

Sorry, but no. It was pushed back to 2021. From what I hear, it's going to be completely CGI, and it's supposed to bridge G4 with the upcoming G5. But there is a Season 10 of MLP:FIM comic coming out.
