This was wonderful, and I would love to see it as a full story. It would be interesting to see how the ponies react to Discord/Xerxes' decision in this scenario. Plus I feel like the plot would be pretty different, since Fluttershy/Esther's belief in Celestia was a major plot point, while here Butterscotch/Eliezer doesnt really know what to think on the subject.
But if you could continue this, I'd love to see how it would turn out!

You should make this a full story! "the mare who became queen" was great and honestly I'd love to read a lgbt version, it'd be really cool to see hamana and the other characters' reactions! so I do hope you make it into a full story.

This was so cute and it was great to see the differences between Fluttershy and Butterscotch, especially him being kind of on the fence about Celestia and how he interacts with Discord. I haven't seen many fics for Discord x Butterscotch which is a shame because it seems like a really interesting dynamic! You always write the characters beautifully and the interactions between them in this were great, I love genderfluid/non binary Discord as well, that was lovely to see as I wasn't quite expecting it but I love that you put it in. I've only read a few fics that have Discord as Genderfluid or Nonbinary and I wish there were more!
I'd love to see more of this AU, especially what changes to The Mare Who Became Queen because I love that story a lot and there's interesting stuff to explore with this AU!

At the time I was writing this, there was barely any fics surrounding Butterscotch x Discord. Oh sure there was Fluttershy x Eris fanfics, but still barely to count on that end too. And now, it's still true. Barely any Butterscotch x Discord & Fluttershy x Eris shipping fics and that's a crime shame:0! Same with genderfluid/non-binary Discord fanfics. There was some when at the time of writing this fic, but those numbers haven't increased by then and again crime shame:( The concept of gender fluidity and non-binary fits with Discord's character and powers so well.
