I like writing about the worst day of a character's life; it lets us see the mettle inside. (Pronouns: RB/20 )

T

It’s Pinkie’s birthday, she’s the last of the crew to reach legal drinking age, and everypony gathers at a tavern to celebrate.

After Luna joins them, however, and the night goes on, the conversation turns to both funny and sad topics as the friends discuss their past romantic accomplishments, and mistakes.

Now has a sequel: A day in Canterlot juvenile court

Twilight snorted, then laughed. “It’s a date!”

Pls, no ship wars

We need peace, not war

You... make an excellent point.

Fixed:

Twilight snorted, then laughed. “I’ll have Spike put it on my calendar!”

No problem, i like encouraging new writers

..Sad...In some parts..
Funny in others...
A delicate balance, my friend.
You seem to have pulled it off.
:trixieshiftright:

Actually Starlight is more likely the same age as them, maybe even younger.

Certainly possible.

Well... I'm going to go listen to some happy music now... :fluttershysad:
Great work nonetheless!

While Pinkie and the others enjoying the party I bet you the CMC and Spike are enjoying their kind of party.

You should actually write this tho. A great story in all!

Ohh would love to read more of this universe. Very good read.

>Return to thine

Since she's addressing more than one person, this would have already been 'your' even in old-timey speech.

How powerful are you making Trixie? She's weak compared to Twilight or Starlight but seems far beyond average unicorns so I find it unlikely she couldn't find any job, or that her ethics would stop her from stealing.

“Elbows together,” Applejack said, pantomiming with her forehooves. “Bow head down, rump up, tail to the side. Everypony knows that.”

Why would you have your elbows together? That's going to wreck balance.

I'm going to claim "early episode weirdness" for this story, it was my first I wrote and my second I published, and well before I knew even slightly what I was doing.

“Three points on Team Mare,” Rainbow said. “Four on Team Stallion.” She squinted in thought and rubbed her chin. “Well, four and a half?”

Rarity rubbed her temple. Three, plus four, plus Rainbow herself...

Did not the Wonderbolt flight team consist of EXACTLY those numbers and distributions--?

What happens in the barracks stays in the barracks, I suppose... she thought to herself.

Wonderbolt team had 6 mares and 6 stallions.

This story kind of exemplifies the cognitive dissonance of modern culture on sex. All the mane six-plus Luna refer to sex as a casual, throw-away item with no love or commitment required, otherwise if one of them had been in a serious long-term relationship everyone else would already know.

If there's no shame of sex with a stranger to feel good for an hour then why does Trixie feel ashamed of sex with a stranger to get a meal when she was hungry? How is Starlight recognizing rape as a profound violation of someone's rights if there's nothing profound about sex? Suppose Pinkie Pie asked Rainbow Dash for a water balloon fight, Dash said no and Pinkie threw a water bomb at her anyway, expecting Dash would change her mind and throw one back. If forcing Dash into a trivial relationship (water fights) isn't seen as something she should go to jail for then why would forcing sex on someone be seen as abhorrent if sex is treated as trivial?

1. The Wonderbolts are based on the United States Navy "Blue Angels" flight demonstration team. (Per L. Faust.)

2. The Wondebolt barracks holds twelve beds, but eighteen lockers. In "Newbie Dash", only ten of the beds were used. The others remained made.

3. 'Fast Clip' and 'Whiplash', (he of the mighty Tom Selleck mustache), are SUPPORT personnel, not Aviators. They would not be bunked with the team. In point of fact, both Spitfire and Clipper, as team leaders, would have separate quarters from the rest, for confidentially; rating fellow Aviators, disciplinary actions, (those always remain confidential, and the team would not observe them), and the screaming fits Spitfire probably had on a regular basis; having a Rainbow Dash on HER TEAM...

4. At any time during the series run, only ten Aviators were shot on camera, (during "Newbie Dash"). All other demonstration teams showed less.

5. During the Ponyville demonstration which included Dash in the flight formation, only seven Aviators were used. Any of the other three not seen may have been standby replacements.

6. The actual number of Aviators is ten. There is no "East" or "West" set of teams, like there were formerly with the Department of the Navy. One team, as is currently constituted. The Wonderbolts reflect that. Spitfire always describes, "...the team...", not "teams". Singular.

Budgetary cuts, I suppose. Celestia wasn't even getting warm spit out of the EUP until after "My Little Pony: The Movie"...
