Aw, thanks. It's been a looooooong time since the days when my stuff hit the feature box, which makes sense since I basically stopped writing for like three years... I think you underestimate the popularity of your stories. The fandom has just died down a lot since people have moved on from ponies in general. But there are many people like me that will ALWAYS like ponies. I'll keep coming to FimFiction as long as the website exists and I always look forward to your stories.

Even with the futa surprise, this was really nicely done (as we'd expect from you). Besides, you really eased us into that... or maybe vice versa?
Anyway It's always good to see your writing here. 
I really enjoyed them saying "I love you" to each other before starting, that was really sweet.
As much as I liked this and thought it was very sweet, I would’ve appreciated if you’d tagged it as a futa fic. It’s helpful to those who aren’t into that sorta thing, or who aren’t in the mood for it at the moment.

I appreciate the feedback, and I totally understand why some people would want tags, but I never add fetish tags to my story descriptions for a number of reasons. A bit of a weird sticking point, maybe, but since futa is about the only fetish I write that is both potentially offputting and not obvious from the description, it's the only one I ever catch flak over. I'm sorry if you weren't a fan of it.

Out of curiosity, what are your reasons for not tagging stories? Is it a spoilers thing?

Kinda? There's a few things but it mostly boils down to the importance I place on the description. It's like the blurb to a book, and I think they're almost more important to hook the reader than many other things, like the opening paragraph or whatever.
1. I straight up think they look bad. I like my descriptions to be clean, no fluff if I can help it, and having big black bars, or just a separated fetish tag section, looks ugly to me.
2. Usually my stories don't have anything too extreme in them that can't be inferred from the description or character tags. If it's marked sex and has Twilight and Shining Armor as characters, there's probably gonna be some incest happening. And any other 'fetishy' stuff in my writing is usually so small as to not make a difference. Futa is the only exception so far, and if it's the only one that upsets people, then that's fair enough, and I hold nothing against people who dislike the story because of it.
3. I think they suggest a certain... type of story? Which mine often don't fall into. I'm not trying to be pretentious - I've written purely clop stories as well - but again, usually the fetish stuff in that is obvious from the get go. I don't want people to look at one of my stories, see some fetish tags and leap to conclusions about what the story is. I'd rather they read it and form their own conclusion, and if that conclusion is that they don't like it, then I'd rather that be the case than deciding they don't like it just because there's some tags in the description.
4. In my experience, the tags are there to warn people, not entice them in. Which again, is fair, but I don't personally like the idea of having something in the description that's only there to make people not read it.
Really, it's all about the idea that I would rather someone read a story and judge it based on its actual merits and flaws than because they don't like futa, for example. If even one person would have not read this story if there was a tag, but read it because there isn't one and enjoyed it despite the futa, then that's more valuable in my opinion than 10 people reading it and being upset at the futa and disliking it as a result. I'm not trying to deliberately mislead anyone, I just would rather people judge the things I write after reading them, not before.

Understood. I disagree somewhat on a couple points, but I appreciate you taking the time to write it out.
For the record, whilst the futa aspect did take away from the story’s hotness for me, I still enjoyed the characterization and feels in it enough to give it a like.
(The funny thing is, I don’t even dislike futa in and of itself; lots of smutfics I love include it. But it shows up so often in my stories & authors watchlist I kinda got tired of it over time. Overexposure, y’know?)
Should reaaaaaallly put a futa warning tag please. Was not expecting.....that.
