Set in the continuity of Tailor of the Crown, though if you haven't read it, all you need to know is that Rarity took a job to work as a tailor in Canterlot Castle.

Avoiding social entanglements at Canterlot galas can be quite a tricky business for Rarity.

Luckily, Rarity has a very beautiful alicorn princess to help with that.

amazing cover art by apricalico!

Always got time for some Rarity x Celestia, it's a criminally under-done pairing.
You really write Rarity's character fantastically, her inner monologue was very engaging. The flight scene was especially endearing.
Great job! :)

it was ok i guess

I know your title in the fimfic circles is Queen of RariTwi or some variation thereof, but I've come to realize over time that that is not quite accurate. I think a better title would be Queen of Rarity. You write Rarity incredibly well, and manage to show off so many different facets of her character, and make her work with nearly everyone.

Thank you!! I'm glad you liked it!

And I'm especially glad you like the way I write Rares. I VICIOUSLY enjoy writing for her so I'm always really happy to hear people like how I write her.

you're ok i guess

I really do love this! I hope we get to see more of this lovely, adorable pairing soon.

Very sweet, and fluffy! Also I enjoyed the style, almost as though Rarity were writing about herself.

Eeeee!

So! Cute!

Me, having a thing for pushing yourself a little bit for the people you love? Never...

And yes, this is a wonderful ship even if we know Raritwy is the ship you are captain of and has your heart. Thank you for the author recommendation, it must be explored!

I was just thinking it'd be interesting if this was the same world as the world of the Enchanted Library, only before Discord rewrote history. What a twist that would make.

Adorable. Gosh I love how you write Rarity. Like.. alot. And the interactions were so fleshed out, so detailed.
Another little bit of shipping GOLD.

But she wasn’t Rainbow Dash, so she didn’t, and actually, she wasn’t altogether sure why she’d just thought of Rainbow Dash.

Wait wait wait, I thought this was Rarilestia, not Raridash

Not that I'm complaining, tho

Well I must say I've not seen a relationship between Celestia and Rarity handled so delicately. I think my only complaint is that the development didn't feel like it had space to breath. It grew a tiny bit as the story went on, but maybe it could have benefited from a little bit more focus on what each member of the relationship wanted out of it. It might have helped the characters feel a bit more 'human', if that makes any sense.

That does make sense, though! Admittedly I didn't delve too much into that because this is set in the continuity of another fic I have where I delve much more into their relationship, so this was more a snippet of their relationship than anything else

Was cute!

Wonderful offering to the shipping gods; I’m sure they will wholeheartedly approve

Great stuff! I always like seeing more of your other worlds and pairings from you. C:

*spit takes*
What?! Rarity with someone beyond Twilight?! :pinkiegasp:

Made my morning all mushy and gooey. Great work Mono.

On the cover art, I didn't even see Rarity until I zoomed in after seeing a splotch of purple .-. It just makes me think that if Rarity hid her mane/tail she could use Celestia as camouflage to spy on nobles

9271966
Oh my, I hadn't even seen her either! Such an adorable MEEP.

What a good way to start out my Sunday morning!

Pancakes, and Rarity and Celestia being cute as all heck! :raritystarry:

We need more Rarlestia! Thank you for this!

Well, shit, now I want more RariLestia.

Damn you, Mono ;~;

So is this the Gala mentioned in the beginning of Tailor, or a different one?

Thank you for this fluffy Rarilestia treat to tide us over until the next Tailor chapter!

Ahhh, Rarilestia: always a good thing when done well, and it's been done very well here. Also, 9271114 has a point - your Rarity is unmatched, although your Twilight and Celestia are damn good too. You managed to characterise Twilight in one line better than most writers can in an entire fic (the multiple universe theory aside bit) here, which I just love too. Honestly, lots of love all round for this one.

Also, don't think I missed that sneaky Palaververse reference. Recently got really into Carabas' lore posts for the universe, so that was an unexpected treat. Good stuff. :pinkiehappy:

Aw, that was so cute.

These sub 5000 word slice of life fics suck!

Always excited to see more SunDress! And the part where the inner voice just tunes out Flatter is perfect,

Ah, so you ARE spamming everyone's account. Do get a life.

Great story. I need more rarelestia in my library. I think TAILOR is the first ive read and liked.

There are happy drunks, sad drunks, aggressive drunks...

This Rarity appears to be a metafictional drunk. Get enough wine in her and she won't just call out the narrative digressions, she'll start critiquing the author's ensemble. You walked a fine line there, Mono. :duck:

In all seriousness, lovely fluff with a nicely substantiative emotional climax. Thank you for it.

Is that a Carabas reference I spy!?

Fantastic! This was a fun story, and you always write such a fun Rarity. I featured this on episode 244 of my podcast, Pony 411.

Forgive me for writing about an old story, but I was struck by how different the romance is made by substituting Celestia for Twilight. This pairing just seems so much more mythic, as Krack-Fic Kai suggested, like Lois Lane and Superman. Twilight is definitely more human, so to speak, but Celestia is self-confident, incomperably powerful, and preternaturally able in spite of her ancient pain. She will carry you to another world and protect you while you are there.

On top of that there is a carnality to Celestia. Her wisdom allows her to take the lead in the little dance that she and Rarity enjoy. She knows what she wants and how to get it. It is refreshing, and, honestly, as a reader it is easy to fall for this Celestia.

Lovely!
