A girl who loves nothing but gold. A dragon who kidnaps her by accident. A misunderstanding that's more trouble than it's worth. An opportunity to escape. Just as long as no one tries to rescue her.

Okay, this world's Sky Kingdom is hilarious!
Does this mean the rest of the Mane 6 will also show up as Spike's 'kidnapped Princesses'? If so, I honestly can't wait to see how that happens.
i wonder if spike will get mad enough to… in the words of Dobby 'never kill' 'just maim or seriously injure' at some point
....You know, Spike being walked all over is getting a little annoying.....is every Mane 6 'princess' gonna punch him? Not sure how much longer I'll stick around if these two things become running gags.
Funniest line to me.
Man the Sky Kingdom sucks.. ALOT.
Also it sucks being Spike right now, atleast it wasn't Aj that punch him in the throat I don't think he'll survive.
I don't know
I think that those two should be more "grateful" Whit ma boi spike
God, even in this spike gets shit on
Yeah, you're kinda treating Spike like a doormat. That's not why I liked this story. I liked it because it was a new perspective, but if this is all that there's going to be maybe I won't continue to follow... Once was enough, but if you're going to repeat a formula for every character? No, just no.
Let me guess, the Mane 6 are princesses?
So a Princess of the Sky Kingdom is now 'kidnapped by a dragon.' First time was because Rarity begged him to keep her away from her fiancé. But it ended pissing off her father who would no doubt send bounty hunters out for him.
Second time was because Rainbow Dash hated her boring life and ran away. It would've been understandable if she was in the same situation as Rarity, but it's not.
Since the Sky Kingdom is pacifistic, like Spike, their military is weak. But now he has two princesses in his castle, could it get any worse for our pacifistic Purple Dragon? Would he unintentionally anger the Earth Ponies as well?

...You know what, same here! These sort of jokes get old real quick, and it wasn't more than mildly funny the first time, anyway.
....... It's Spike's treasure Rarity
I am Rarity in this scene
How much more is Spike gonna be able to take before he snaps ?
Geez, cut the dragon some slack.
Wow that was just hard to read, but the way I see it there are one of two things going on here. Either, Rainbow is right and Spike is a pacifist because he is actually a cowardly pussy, or everyone in this world dosen't realize that a pacifist is someone who believes violence is always wrong not someone who is never violent.
I knew, after reading that line, I was going to lose my shit.
Shit status: lost.
On a second note, Spike might be a pacifist, but he has to put his foot down on the princesses. He's a dragon. It's his home. And they are at best his guests.
I am starting to realize this story is SUPER fucked up at least from Spike's perspective. I mean he is gaining NOTHING out of this. His whole life is being ruined by Rarity. She is so selfish and honestly doesn't give a shit about Spike's feelings or anything. She just does what she want and because Spike wont fight back they walk all over him. This has taken a turn to femdom big time. Sure he could end them, kick them out, or even just leave but none of that will happen. We will just see Spike being dominated and honestly walked all over by every princess that shows up in his life. He has no respect at all and his life honestly has become one of him losing really all he owns and being treated like shit when he has done nothing but try to help someone in need. And even if Dash's kingdom doesn't do violence doesn't mean they wont hire someone who will. And Spike is right because of Rarity he now has TWO kingdoms wanting his head. He has been able to have a self life because he kept off the radar. That is now out of the window big time due to her. Spike can't keep going like this he just can't, Rarity will be the death of him and she will take all his hard earn treasure after she gets him killed at that. I mean she think just because she is she that she is entitled to HIS treasure and HIS castle. It is just honestly this Rarity isn't likable at all in this story at the moment and I wonder will that change or will I just end up grow to dislike her more and more from her selfish and honestly cruel actions to her savior.
There are funny parts, but now it's starting to piss me off... I get that Spike's a pacifist, and he doesn't want to have conflict come to him if he can avoid it, but this is just "Let's shit on Spike, he's just a sidekick, he's not gonna do anything anyway, look how whipped he is"..
For Celestia's sake, he's a FUCKING DRAGON!!!! There has to be time where he acts like one!! Rarity and RD need to understand that there is only so much that Spike can take, and the two of them are getting dangerously close to lighting a fuse that neither of them will be able to extinguish...
A pegasus huh?
Glad to see that she is capable of sympathy.
Rainbow Dash.
I suppose that's fair.
Fair enough, they barely have anything TO rob.
Also a Princess. Neato.
... I, see.
Violence?
Violence.
What?
See people joke about poodles, but they are hunting dogs.
People are into some weird things.
Apparently.
OK, this is getting kinda annoying. I wish Spike could actually win for once because everyone is walking all over him.
OK, how does THAT hurt?
At some point Spike is probably going to lose his mind...or change his name to Keitaro, one of the two.
Granted, it is kinda unnerving how these two are easily...taking over Spike's life, but this is a comedy. Not bad either, I laughed at this chapter a bunch.
Unless this all leads to an emotional explosion of selfish-princess-destroying proportions, then I’m probably going to stop following this story pretty soon. Because reading about this guy getting everything he has worked for taken from him is just making me feel depressed.
Walked over again by reinbow dash now. well that is annoying. I like the story makes me laugh but spike getting walked over and over nope not for me sorry
So... are the rest of the Mane 6 going to be princesses too? And is Spike going to end up with the harem he never (knew he) wanted?
I’ve been enjoying this as something fresh and different from a lot of the stories around here. It’s enjoyable and has a good sense of comedy, as in, much of it is actually funny. I’m just a bit surprised to suddenly see so many commenters suddenly come out of the woodwork and complaining that Spike is too much of a doormat...? It’s pretty obvious from the first chapter that this is meant to be a ridiculous over-the-top story where expected roles are being subverted for comedic effect, including that the big bad dragon can be pushed around by a mare. There’s nothing leading up to this chapter at all that has suggested Spike is going to be portrayed as a badass that puts his foot down and puts them nasty women-folk in their place. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’re clearly reading the wrong story. Also the wrong genre of story, probably.
This is so far following the unwanted harem trope (Here’s a helpful TV Tropes page) and the guy in that getting pushed around and railroaded is pretty common in that genre. And when we’ve just had a girl crowing proudly that she’s covered in literal feces from a nation that owns all of 12 swords and uses tea cup poodles as attack dogs, the idea of a dragon getting pushed around by two mares is where people are having a problem?? Seriously? Geez, guys, he’s actually not even entitled to any of his stuff. Like, he stole it all. Literally all of it, including the castle itself since he clearly didn’t build it himself. At best Spike in this story is a thief and a squatter who uses physical intimidation to avoid the consequences of his actions. Honestly Rarity is probably some sort of karmic retribution from the universe, when you think about it.

You have a point. And me personally so soooo don't want a big badass Spike who kick ass, take names, and nail all the girls around. For sure no since I am so tired of that. Idk it is just something about watching a character who we have seen so far that have been pretty good being treated what many would consider badly tends to leave a bad taste in people's mouth. I think personally just a scene of him getting along with Rarity or even just signs of a budding friendship between them would be enough for me and I can only guess many others to make it come off as Spike being shit on. It is just 98% of his interactions with anyone has been him being taken advantage of.
Lies and slander, those things are made of hated and rage!
They're just too tiny for it to do much good
Oh gods my sides!!
Let's just hope she still does so when flutters comes, I'm sure she'd like it. Or AJ, or Twilight... I'm not much of a Pinkie shipper, though

Well, excuse me for saying that at first glance, I thought it looks like a 'shit on Spike' fic in disguise and I expressed my displeasure of that. That is my opinion, and I understand that the author probably has a few tricks up his/her sleeves and twists that we have not even thought of yet. I still trust him that he knows what he's doing, considering his impressive track record with other stories that FFB has authored (not to mention he, as well as a few others are creating the very popular Rogue Diamond series). But right now, it just looks bad. Not to mention the about face between this chapter and the previous chapter will make a lot of commentators voice their displeasure.
Just my opinion after all. Though it's probably me being too emotional and whiny about the first contact with RD, Rarity, and Spike at the same time. Still think it was freaking HILARIOUS!!!!!
9200526
It is fine and I do agree and I have shown I feel the same way as a big Spike fan. I don't like seeing him being walked all over myself. I am just trying to look at the story not from the eyes of a Spike fan but just view it as a comedy. But I agree I trust the writer and they have earned that trust from me with how many of their works I have enjoyed. Sorry if it felt like I was being a ass or something that wasn't the case at all.
I have seen this story as a "What would be the last straw that would break Spike's back". I wonder how long it would take to really piss off Spike and make him stop being a pacifist.
9200349
This is basicly how I feel, I like Spike, and wish he got more respect in the show, and I have been enjoying this story, and I could see him putting up with Rarity at first because he has always had a soft spot for her in other media...and the trip to town sold it that despite his whining and complaining that he CAN get along with princess Rarity...and then came Princess Dash....who nearly killed him...which is a step up from the punch to the dick Rarity gave him...especially since pegasi are supposed to be, you know, SOFT... And then it seems all the snark he was showing Rarity vanishes into being a pussy...I'm gonna stick with it...but this chapter left a bad taste in my mouth, and I can't point to a single paragraph or line to say why, the 'tone' just felt like Spike was gonna be the butt of the joke for the rest of the story, even tho he's the one keeping these Princesses 'free'...and honestly, if I put myself in his shoes, I'd be seriously considering tossing Rainbow and Rarity out right now, picking up all my gold, and flying off somewhere else...no matter how much it hurt, i mean he does it to scare off armies and steal gold....so why not scare off 3-4 pegasi? Will it do serious, permanent harm if he does it back to back? He might have to eventually once he's got 3-6+ kingdoms out for his head to 'rescue' their princesses...
...I now have this image in my mind where the most violent, battle-hardened, ruthless, and possible serial doomer of the Sky Kingdom is none other than a mythical pegasus that lives within the darkest and most chaotic forest in all the lands.
Wow! If Spike doesn't snap by the end of this it would be a miracle.
Let's find out!

Hey there. I don't normally do a whole lot of replies but this calls for some warrant.
I have read and heard all of your comments, and let's just say I am a little... surprised by the reaction. Or well, I was at first. After re-reading the last chapter I can agree with you that the Spike-abuse got a little out of hand. It's one of those things that I didn't really think of when writing it. For me, making Spike the butt of the joke never meant that I hated the poor guy. Hell, nearly every story I've ever written stars our favourite purple dragon! Now, that being said, while he's one of my favourite characters (Rarity and Rainbow are as well) I have no problem making them a little miserable, or mean, or bitchy or even a little unlikeable. If this was a story where everything worked out every second and they all loved each other and sang kumbaya then it wouldn't be nearly as interesting. I don't regret writing them the way I did so far, but I do agree that I pushed it a bit to far. But you know what?
This is why we have comments! As much as I love postive comments giving me a good ol pat on the back, I appericate criticism, I can't learn or get better unless I have my flaws pointed out. You guys just pointed out a big one. Now I can work on trying to make it better.
So I guess what I want to say is thank you. I do hope you guys stick around a bit longer.
Besides, there was going to be less Spike-abuse anyways XD
9200272
And you, I do want to personally thank you for your comment. I don't really encourage white-knighting but it was nice to read a comment like yours. It kept me from spiraling a little too much and possibly scraping everything to rewrite the story just to please everyone. because at the end of the day, all anyone should ever write for is themselves. I enjoy my story. it's just a bonus if others do a well. So again, thank you.
9200819
No problem! It wasn’t at all intended as white-knighting, so sorry if it came across that way. I was just surprised at the number of comments of that nature, and, well... I felt kinda bad, as it’s a good story and well-written. I don’t think it deserved the reaction it got so my purpose was more along the lines of the rest of your comment — it’s a story I’m genuinely enjoying and that I look out for, and I think it’s equally important as a reader to share positive feedback as negative. Otherwise the author may feel like they’re doing a terrible job, or not realize the things they’re doing very right, or get a skewed perspective as to how “bad” a particular aspect of the story truly is, which is what I feel like was happening here and it just didn’t seem fair. Not everyone is going to like everything you’re doing, but plenty of people will. So I meant more to offer some support and a differing opinion, I guess, not to kick off an argument in the comments section

I think what it is, is that people already get this Spike gets treated like a doormat in the show too much that we're tired of it. Even if something happens to him in an episode surrounding him, the next episode it goes back to same old status quo. He gets ignored, abandoned, and used, so it's almost as if the mane 6 are making their greatest villain already. Needless to say, we're a sympathetic bunch who can't stand to see him ignored, that's why when there's a good Spike story, it's a REALLY good story. Everyone wants to see him get his comeuppance, but it never happens. If you use the same formula for every new character be it the mane 6 or otherwise it gets kinda repetitive.
But this chapter is not all bad, it just feels like there's been little character development. Here's your prime example.
We like shit like that. It's your story do what you do, but the majority of us don't like Spike being abused because that's his role in the show. But don't keep breading the ducks, you'll spoil them, shit like this is a fine line and a very delicate touch. Do something a little too often, people will call you out on it, don't do it as much people will think you've forgotten the meaning of the story. I get the whole accidental
abusive harem trope but contrary to what the news says people actually do feel for the guy. But like I said, it's a very fine line. Try to avoid pitfalls where if you show some abuse toward one of the main characters suddenly he or she or whatever gets ALL the abuse.
For the record I think the jokes are spot and funny, if you love a character you have to be mean to them, author truths. It just makes Spike's inevitable triumph more enjoyable.
Wow, normally the pegasi are the strongest in military.
Also give spike a break he is abused enough in the show. Force the girls 5o be naked
Hmmm rarity’s greedy for treasure and finery, dash is disloyal to her people...wanna bet applejack is a liar?
While I see what you're going for, I have to agree with the other commenters that making Spike a doormat feels wrong and not just because I don't like the whole "Pacifist=Coward" portrayal that it's getting at, but because it's breaking the theme of character subversion you've been going for.
I see that Rarity is greedy and Rainbow doesn't give a shit about her homeland, Rarity's family is controlling instead of hand's off, the Pegasus are weaklings instead of militarized. The biggest issues I have with this are that Spike is only a half-effort and that Blueblood wasn't handled any differently than he has been in other works featuring him and I've seen some good redemption stories for Blueblood.
Spike being a greedy loner compared to his more social and giving real self is nice but the fact that he doesn't stand up for himself here makes me feel like this was an uncommitted character rework. As for Blueblood... well I can live with that as long as he's not a recurring character but if he is I want to see him try to grow as a person and defy his previous portrayal even if it is just to get Rarity. Also Rainbow's last comment really rubbed me the wrong way.
I feel disappointed especially after the last episode and the hilarious scenes with Coco Pommel in her dress shop. I'll wait to see how you respond to things as you go on.
Now the question remains. Will we see the other 'princesses' and what they represent on their opposites and will Spike act as a foil to become something better and make them become better then themselves?
So many questions now lie in my head.
Thanks for the fun chapter, can't wait to see what the next one will be.

Apples'll probably kick him in his soft underside, then the rest will be more 'wimpy' because Twilight is a scholar and knows not to judge things as they first appear, Pinkie will be happy she found new friends, and Fluttershy will faint.
Ugh, I just can't stand to read anymore of this story sadly, Spike makes a doormat look like a street thug. Spike has to be THE most pathetic thing I've seen in a long time.
9200090
Nah, Spike makes a cowardly pussy look dangerous.
First off, I love the story. Truth be told I'm kinda terrified for when Spike finally snaps. If he snaps at all.
damnit dash.
Ya think?
part of me hope twilight is both an alicorn, not a princess [was princess] and spike mother who left him in charger while she went to some island library but lost track of time reading and been like 300 years [or the castle has one she lock her self in for last 300 years]
