There was a scene which ended up on the cutting room floor where after the cut away that now ends the story, the Flex Tape reforms Chrysalis and she leads a merry march into Ponyville where the locals mistake her for a color-swapped Celestia whom they christen Aitselec.

I sawed Golden Oak Library into pieces and repaired it using only flex tape! Now, it’s a fully fledged castle without a single bit of physical damage. But just to be safe, we also dipped the castle in Flex Seal for repairs, protection, and to give the door knobs a tough, no slip grip!
'S not that much damage, really, Twi. It's not, c-could be a lot worse.

So, the castle can create new cutlery, but can't patch its own walls or seal its own leaks?
Also, Starlight is right. Flex tape can't fix everything. For example, it can't fix a broken leg.
Although that could be a very funny scene. Somepony has a broken leg, Twilight wraps tape around it, then is confused as to how they're still in pain and unable to walk.
I can't wait for the sequel where they get some Flex Glue and the fumes cause them to hallucinate and see martians everywhere.
And then Twilight used the Elements of Harmony to resurrect Billy Mays, and they sold Flex Tape across Equestria.
I saw the title and immediately thought of this:
