On a peaceful fall day, walking back home from the town park, Sunset ends up following a suspicious figure to a remote and forgotten neighborhood. While hiding in one of the nearby houses, the girl gets her hands on a mysterious leather journal and decides to take it. Once gotten back in her cozy house, having the chance to read it, Sunset will learn an important lesson thanks to a blast from somebody else's past.
Take a step into this wonderful journey through the magical language of poetry and maybe you will learn that things are not what they look like and that evil is not always so bad
If Sunset learns their history; she will regret it for the rest of her. Hoping to see more
Just wait and you'll see what I've got in store: I promise you will be absoluetlely speechless
real SEVER?
Hmm... I'm not sure, I'm still wondering where is that robber and why the granny was there...
and, author's note: begining, weeks, following... could be more careful.

Well, those two events don't have to mean anything: I just needed Sunset to follow the thief so she would end up inthat crrepy place, where she found the journal
That’s sad :(. Adagio lost her mom.
Sometimes sacrifices are necessary, anyway this is only the beginning of the story: just wait and see what we’ll happen
"I'm just a FRIED" xdd
Just an FYI, that form of "prey" is spelled with an e, not an a.
And now Sunset learn the Sirens’ past. What will she do? Let them suffer for how their race was treated or undo Equestria’s heroes actions and her actions?
Well...that’s just the point of the whole story. What would you do if you found out that the Dazzlings’ heroic defeat was anything but heroic?
8936955
Undo it. Because the ponies only learn the bad parts about them, not the reason why they do it. My view is the Sirens were trying to survival since let’s face it, The pony race is weak; only powerful alicorns and small groups save them. They have no survival instincts against any threats without them.

Well... that’s the point of the whole story: what would you do if you found out that the Dazzlings’ heroic defeat was not so heroic after all?
8937121
I help them return home. No ifs, ands or buts.
8937155
Interesting answer. But what if they began to cause trouble again, whereas in on the other side of the mirror, as there is no magic, they do no represent ant threat. But on the other hand, as you pointed out, it would not be fair to leave them on their own, especially considering that your actions ( destroying their gems) lead them to even worse misery.
I guess you should choose by which side you’re gonna stand.
8937161
They're doing it to stay alive. I mean would you let the herbivores eat all the vegetation on the planet and the carnivores can't stop them because their being leash? Why should a large race should fear a small race? Are Ponies that pathetic?
8937175
No, but I guess, when you're the pray, it's pretty hard to see things from the predator's point of view.
hmm... if there is "no time", why not change "no time for an explanation" into "no time to explaine"? there should be less syllables. and, it seems that aria doesn't have to say that much, just make sonata hand over her umbrella naturally, doesn't have to wait for aria told her, isn't that better? what dya think?
because aria is in a hurry tone saying this, seems doesn't make any sense if she still talked that much but not act.
and runing into a storm? ive done that before, sadly no one cared~ :(
do you have to write foods? reading this midnight with no food aside, i am STARVING!!! *yells*
Well, have a midnight snack then
Nice grammar. The editing really shows.
And they'll meet one of the ponies that will ruin their lives
8990413
Yep, I guess really life is tough sometimes
8992478
Tough? Ponies always win. Its not tough, its unfair to different races that are not a pony
8992636
You are so right
8993385
Thank you for agreeing with me.
hope things will get changed... owo
What the hell Sunset!? You just learn that the Sirens past and the reason for their actions. They were just trying to survive. They’re not like ponies, different races have their own ways.

You are so right, but that is just how it happened. After they were defeated, not only were they not given a second chance, they have also been left behind. In fact, a part from fandom stuff, we have heard nothing of them from the battle of the bands. I wish I could be wrong, but the point is that they were set as antagonist without the smallest clue of why they had to feed on negative energy and just cancelled from the series afterwards. In my opinion that is true eveil, so I decided to write this story in order to try to convey what they might be feeling now. I am happy that someone understood the message.

You're welcome, The show only shows that ponies keep on winning and never lose for once; not temporary, permanent for once and sometimes for once, friendship created pain and dark consequences.
