Awesome start

Question, why isn't this a crossover?

I always have trouble categorizing things as crossover. To me, crossover generally indicates that characters from one show end up meeting with characters from another. It seems like a different thing to adapt a plotline or situation. I don't know, I wish there was a way to distinguish between different types of crossover.

Well, it looks like you're using the same setting as the show Infinity Train. And I will concede that crossovers usually involve characters from a series. But in this case you have a lesser known kind of crossover known as a "setting crossover" which is basically when the setting of one series is used in conjunction with characters from a different series, usually with the absence of characters from the setting.

Very interesting.

you're welcome

Yeah, that's a good way to put it. I like the term 'setting crossover.' I don't know, do you think I should label it as a crossover, or do you think that would be misleading?

I think it wouldn’t hurt, but it’s ultimately up to you.

I might do that. I was doing some research and apparently this is called a 'fusion crossover?' So I could just specify the crossover type in the description maybe. Thanks for your input!

I think the story is pretty interesting with great start if you don't count the similarity, but I'll let that one slide.

read it's books

the apostrophe makes that the wrong form of the word

I have to say, this story looks really promising. You my friend have my interest. Please continue!

Thanks for your support! I really appreciate it!

Looks good but now that Infinity has been greenlit I think I will wait for the official story as to not disappoint create mixed feelings with this story and the show.
If it hadn't been greenlit I would have definitely kept reading

Reading this after the end of season 2, it's interesting that you got a cat in this story too. It would have been interesting to see how much this and the show proper diverged and linked up, but alas. One big difference is that your fic focused more on the puzzles than the show did, and of course it would have been hard to pick up on the number being based on personal problems just based on the pilot.

What's there is pretty fun, and I can't imagine this will be continued, so it's mainly a nice look at what people were predicting for Infinity Train before the show proper started.
