Not bad… Got some sad emotions flowing – so I guess it hit the spot.

You may want to try adding cover art to boost the number of reads. Just by typing "Applejack stars" into Google I was able to find something like this:

i.ytimg.com/vi/YIQrU5cBVkg/hqdefault.jpg

Seems appropriate (I'm not the author, it's just one of the first things that popped up in the results)

Thanks for your interest and support!
I would like to add cover art, and I do really like your suggestion, but I'm always careful with copyright and making sure I have permissions for images, especially if they're clearly fanmade. I know some people would consider that art theft, so I just avoid it unless I can find a screenshot from the movie to alter, or draw something myself. I'm going to go look through some screenshots and see if I can find something simple to use.

Thanks!!

Nice  - and yeah, I know what you mean about copyright... Most people don't care and just post wherever they find on Google (although, personally I can't blame them, finding a picture that is clearly marked with some reusable license is not an easy task...).

If you have time, you may try some free vectors in the future (just search "mlp vectors" or "mlp background vectors" or "applejack vectors" or something similar), but you need to use Inkscape and combine them properly (for me, it's rather tedious work, but then again - I have zero artistic skill, so...)

Yeah, I just spent a few hours trying to make a cover for a future story that involved finding different screenshots of Twilight, frankensteining them together, then tracing over it in gimp and recolouring it and reconstructing whichever seams didn't work out, and then adding shadow effects. Worked pretty well, but I suck at shadows so it kinda looks derpy. Art is hard... xP
