Adagio, Aria, and Sonata. Calling themselves Sirens, they emerged from the sea and became so great threat to Equestria that it took six legendary heroes to defeat them.

But how these three seamares came to be? Here is the origin story of these legendary sea creatures. Only it's not exactly what you expect.

Story features a few songs and The Transfiguration Pearl from MLP Movie:trollestia:

Do we get an explanation why the Sonata of Legends of Magic is very grim and serious-looking, only smiles once, (though this is just going by her first appearance) and doesn't act like a goofy, ditzy airhead at all in this story?

Actually, I haven't noticed that. If you're talking about Issue 7 (that I btw got to read only after I wrote most part of the chapter) then I personally don't see Dazzlings to show much personality at all.

Your cover art is beautiful! I've never seen that piece before :raritystarry:

Nice story, and I like the sirens. As for why they don't act like they do in the comics...I don't consider the comics canon at all when I (try) to write my own fanfics. This was a really nice story. Please continue. The cover art is truly lovely. I'd love to know where it came from.

Actually, I wanted this story to be kinda prequel to Legends. Why do you think that Sirens in my story don't act like them (aside from not being evil initially)? Or what differs Sirens in comics from them in Rainbow Rocks? Did I miss something?

Nice work on this.

Thanks. Apparently my idea to introduce Sirens as side characters (until they do some stuff in later chapters) wasn't the best one. And I'll try to find someone for proofreading.
