Thank you! I hope you've enjoyed the ride.

What if Spike and Cheerilee......

Barb, in this world, rather than Spike, I'm afraid. And she's still rather fixed on Rarity with ambivalent feelings involving Twilight and Ember. Cheerilee does deserve some happiness, since I married Mac off in a different direction, though. I should try to think about that-- thanks!

There's rarely any fics about those two.

The pairing I can't provide, but Cheerilee certainly deserves consideration!

It's been utterly magnificent, and I am sad to see that this iteration has wound to a close, but I loved every moment! Hoping to see more of these two in future works, and a final set of questions; do hippogriffs get cutie marks, and also, what blessings, if any, from The Flyer are granted to them?

(1) I'm deferring on that one until after the movie comes out.
(2) In general, they will be bigger than ponies but smaller than the largest griffons. These being Gilda's children, they'll probably cluster around eleven feet tall. They'll cluster somewhere between griffons and ponies; easier time learning weather magic but not as instinctive as it is for a pegasus; need more work to contain their native savagery once it's released, but have an easier time stopping it from popping up, etc.

The x-factor here is that Fluttershy basically supercharged Bulk's fertility by a direct, open connection to Life. Hence the fact that an ordinarily really, really difficult thing suddenly was Lots Of Babies. Cross-species hybrids usually require the active participation of a priest, mage, and/or alchemist in some manner, enchanting both parties before conception, carefully maintaining fertility treatments through the early stages of fetal development up to and possibly inclusive of late-late-late stage development and ensouling (My fanon states that no fetus has a soul until it would be viable away from the mother, because otherwise... yeah, I don't want to dwell on that too long), and probably include repeated checkups after birth to make sure that the child's native magic handles their further biological impossibility.

I mean, griffons are six-limbed vertebrates. Who fly. There's already some wonky there.

Anyway, Flutters is literally life. And necromancy, developing into death, but that is not a fact she employed here. She wants babies to spoil and for Bulk and Gilda to be happy. She tapped into magic that none of the other alicorns, including Luna and Celestia, really understand, and hyper-energized Bulk's genative organs. So the whole process is going to require a lot less maintenance than usual; it is currently harder for it to go wrong even conventionally than it is for it to go right.

As a result, the hippogryphlets will be abnormal even for the standards of their particular brand of hybrid, even for being the children of two large strains (even non-hypers in Bulk's family are big for ponies on both sides of his parentage; ditto Gilda and griffons). As for what the Flyer's doing?

Laughing.

Waiting.

Pushing things around to see what will get the best results.

The fact that Gilda is an exemplary priestess of the Flyer after her association with ponies should really be the biggest clue what the God of Discipline and Savagery is really like.
