This story is a sequel to Lessons From Ponyville Elementary

A spin off/sequel to 'My Family and Other Equestrians'

Having being turned into a pegasus, courtesy of Discord, Lizzie now has her first real job in Equestria as a Patrol Officer in Ponyville's local Weather Patrol under Rainbow Dash. Follow her and her fellow squad mates, as well as a colourful cast of friends and enemies as she deals with rain, sleet, snow, dead of night, and even the occasional love interest. Not to mention balancing it all with a small zoo's worth of animals at home and one very overprotective older brother.

Set during Season 6. Takes place after 'Tales From Day Court' and 'Lessons From Ponyville Elementary'

Updated every Friday.

Yay! You posted the story.

i like the way this story is starting, this is going to be good.

a good chapter and i have just the thing for angle. rabbit stew.

i can say this is a awesome chapter and Lizzie deserves her cutesinaura.
:pinkiehappy:

It's clear where she inherited her talent for flight from. It's been too long since I read the Biggles stories.

No Romance tag? Mum and Dad are going to be disappointed. They keep going on about that nice stallion Lizzie's been seen with....

8500188 Well done for spotting the reference. I've just finished re-reading 'Biggles in France' myself.

it is time to throw Dewdrop a bone so to speak he has it bad for Lizzie .

a grate chapter and i like how so portrayed Trixie.
good writing.

Hmmm my google fu is indicationg one Algernon Montgomery Lacey, cousin to a certain Biggles?

8515347 Well done. Nice to see some people still know those stories. Recommended reading for any schoolboy. :rainbowdetermined2:

Too old for a cuteceañera? That's the beauty of being an adult! You get to decide when you have a party!

8533860 Unless Pinkie Pie throws you a party. Then you have no choice. :pinkiecrazy:

8533889
You know, it never occurred to me that you might not want a Pinkie Pie Party. :rainbowlaugh:

Close shaves, near misses, and mortars dead in the tube. These, and "enemy close" artillery strikes, scare me shitless.

... And camel spiders.

Dewdrop and Lizzie sounds good but for some reason i don't see this going any ware.

a vary good chapter, i remember a few work party's ware very one lets there hair down, they never end well.

for all I know Mugabe’s dead and rotting in the ground by now

Sigh... if only that were true.

The only good thing the bastard has done is give numismatists a cool-looking 100 trillion dollar bank note to collect.

8548784 And there was that wonderful moment where a monkey peed on him during a live press conference. :rainbowlaugh: Crazy thing is now his wife's going to take over afterwards.

Seriously, for all the ills of the Smith government (and there are a few), it was never that terrible. Heck, until the peace deal, they even had an election that resulted in a cabinet of ten blacks and four whites. But nothing except black only government was acceptable to the UN and the US. So, yeah, hand the country over to Chinese back guerrillas and a man who openly admitted that he had no idea about how to run a country. :facehoof:

Blade Star, would you be a fan of this song?

8551999 Never was much a fan of football. It was actually just something that popped into my head as a song. Mainly because, while writing this chapter, this was on the telly:

Oh, and since we were mocking Zimbabwe earlier, have you heard the news? There's something afoot down there, maybe a military coup. Apparently Salisbury (I refuse to call it Harare) is full of army trucks.

8552433
Yes, I saw that. Still waiting for some more concrete information.

8555004 He's turned up in public for the first time at a uni graduation ceremony. Still no sign of his wife. Army is still definitely in control but looking to make him a figurehead leader to ease the transition. I suppose in their situation, the only way is up. No one seems too saddened or inclined to react against the army. The African Union and everyone else still insists it isn't a coup though. :ajbemused:

as Discord said young love, it is so sweet.
i really like this chapter it is a super good friends based chapter.

8559302 I feel it's an improvement over the last time I wrote this kind of chapter, way back when I first wrote 'My Family and Other Equestrians'. It's not perfect, but it's better than what I did last time.

8560183
aww yes i think i know the chapter you are talking about.
yes you have improved greatly as a author in all areas.

That was interesting. I wonder what the two of them will do alone together?

Ah yes, "Goodfellas" and the Funny Guy scene.

i vary good chapter with lots of sweet moments.

I wonder what the ponies think when they listen to Do They Know It's Christmas? and realize it's talking about famine.

a super good chapter and it defiantly sets the mood for the holidays.

maybe with some luck we will have a white Christmas this year hear in PA and not mud.

"Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Ales" should be "Deutschland, Deutschland, Über Alles"

I hate the character Zephyr Breeze. A stereotypical layabout on the dole. The character also makes no sense in a society where everypony knows their special talent, is good at their special talent, and wears their special talent on their flank.

Flutter Brutter' yes i know the episode and i liked it but not Zephyr gelding would be a good thing.

i wish you luck with landing the new job and i wish you luck.

Good chapter.

Ah, Zephyr... where did I put my flak 88? Target practice sounds... wundebar.

8597867 Eh, special talent doesn't always link directly to a job. See psychotic circle drawing pony. :pinkiecrazy:

8598383 I hope to hear back from the police by the 15th. If all goes well, I'll be getting an early Christmas present. :yay:

8599057

Ah, Zephyr... where did I put my flak 88? Target practice sounds... wundebar.

I think you mean an M-29 Davy Crockett launcher. 10-20 tons of TNT equivalent yield. :trollestia:

8599278
No. I meant what I said. I do want to be sporting, after all.

Well... As sporting as target shooting with an A.A. gun can get.

There's that "Peter Pan" reference... Or is it "The Undiscovered Country"? :rainbowwild:

i can only imageion what it would be like to fly under your own power.
a vary good chapter with a super good flash back.

8612086 Peter Pan was the original use. But Undiscovered Country makes tear up more. :fluttercry:

8613551 I've never got the 'flying' dream myself. But a good chunk of Lizzie's experience is derived from one Geoffrey Wellum, a then 19 year old Spitfire pilot. He wrote a book about his experiences called 'First Light'. His descriptions of flying a Spitfire for the first time (comparing it to a thoroughbred racehorse that enjoyed unseating new riders) was a big inspiration, particularly once he got it under control.

8613951
Was fully aware of that. Just had to tease some peoples. :pinkiehappy:

The question still remaining unless they were part of the joke is those 'guards' Lizzie found

8624702
Changelings most likely. After all, this is the middle of season 6, so the incident where the Mane 6 were replaced will be happening eventually.

a nice enough guy if a little…odd.

You misspelled "flaming".

8624702 8624807 Try looking up their unit number. It's a bit of a nod to the Ace Combat games.

a super good chapter.
the guards in the Whitetail Wood a scouting party of changelings that capture all the princess and the mane 6.

If they don't just drop them for a new big bad. Though Chrystalis is still out there
