What's feminization?

Feminization is a process of taking a male character, and gradually making them female. In my favorite cases it's done by manipulation, and brainwashing. There are more Ex Machina examples, like a Rule 63 spell/ray that swaps the gender of someone.
In this case though it's just an open minded boy with feminine features, and an open mind gradually having his sexuality altered by circumstances so he enjoys being a "girl."
Just throwing it out there. Niko becomes a full time foalsitter/prostitute, bedding every foal in town, including the colts. Adults congratulate him on happily helping their kids until magic suffuses into his being and he gets a related cutie mark. Maybe some affectionate kisses shared with adults, but I'm betting the primary focus will remain with the foals.
