Even the strongest friends, crumb and wither due to the passage of time. And also Apple Bloom doesn’t really have a right to criticize Twilight.
I mean she’s gonna have to watch EVERYONE she’s ever loved grow old and die while she stays the same, for countless eons. Hell we don’t know how long she might live, for all we know she’ll live to see Equestria fall.
So yeah I’m sorry but Twilight has plenty reason to be upset. Immortality is a curse, Just ask Wolverine.
Apple Bloom had children kind of late in this story. Figuring her birth around sometime between 990 and 993 puts her well into her fourties by the time she had her filly. If it is 1045 now in this story then Apple Bloom is past 50 herself.

Yes and no. I never said that Twilight was immortal. My headcanon is that both Twilight and Cadance aren’t immortal. Celestia and Luna are immortal due to external factors, I.e their connection to the sun and moon respectively. However, Alicorns are still incredibly long lived, able to live over 200-300 years easy, so the two will still live long enough to watch their loved ones pass away.

There are parents out there that do have children later so the age is really more an observation not really saying anything negative. I know one woman I worked with previously who had her youngest child at 44 (guessing similar age to what Apple Bloom would have in this case).

Yeah won’t Lie I was confused about that myself. I saw Applebloom and sweetie belle and really got confused with Rainbow Dash and Rarity being dead already. I thought that at the end it would have been to some big beast that finally beat the elements or something.

First of I really liked this story.
But... I found a bit of continuity error that bugs me. I will put it behind spoilers just in case somebody read comments first and the story later.
“It’s not that, Puree,” Twilight cut in, setting the photo down on the table with a sigh.
“It’s alright, Puree. You couldn’t have known.” Setting the photo down, Twilight sighed as she leaned back against the couch, staring up at nothing.
She put the photo down two times. I doesn't want to be overly critical, this is a great story. It is just something that caught my eyes.

Its always a shame you have to have that 1-2 people who downthumb things that are well done. Just so they can click the down thumb and ruin someones day.

Immortal Twilycorn stories always get me...because they inevitably talk about her out living her friends. TO make life long friends is a treasure...I can't imagine what loosing the would be like.
I like how it's Apple Bloom who schemed this all up. Sometimes authors have these kinds of stories take place millennia into the future and while it's a cool dynamic...I feel it looses some of that punch. So I think you got a good story here bro
I like stories where the other Bearers are Immortal too.
That way Twilight doesn't have to outlive her friends.
I really like the story "The Great Alicorn Hunt".
In that one all the Mane 6 become alicorns.
