It seems like the two are a pretty even match. But Evo has that ability of flight.
You know that Dark Ice was my favorite character before the reboot, but admittedly he was fairly weak as a villain. This time around he spent next to no time as a villain and that made him a slightly weaker character without the development from it. Evo, to me, feels like that villain Ice should have been, though with nobody but him pulling his strings he shouldn't reform, but I can't wait to see how this arc continues.

I wouldn't know, can't see the like/dislike ratio. If I were to guess it's because of people seeing a story and not being caught up, seeing all these new OCs does not help if they weren't following from their introduction. Or the simple fact that shipping with OCs ruins otps (which are serious business). If on the most pretentious level, while you have improved a lot you are no master of words. I say just wait until the story is complete before letting the like/dislike ratio get to you.

You did this arc a lot of good, I can't wait to see how the other dark duelists are handled from here on because this first arc was a great start. One thing to note though, maybe a bit of interaction between the villains to foreshadow what each one will be like without necessarily revealing their identities until they begin to fight the respective duelist they were picked to fight. I can imagine they have a secret meeting place for Blitz to yell at them from.
not bad, though I'm hoping we'll see Fluttershy duel in the future: after all, there's no worst situation for the villain then to become rattled/unnerved, and what could make a "person" who covets power so much more then for one of his allies to lose to what I could see him viewing as the weakest of the lot?
side note: I don't see Flutters as weak, but I can understand how someone like Blitz might make that mistake...8085978

I'm actually excited for this upcoming arc. The Nightfall storyline was wrapped up really nicely and Akage felt less explored as a character than he should have been, so I have absolute faith in this turning out really strong and shifting my opinion.

I suppose it would be Night's development over the course of the story. He starts out without much in terms of character but ends up being the one with the most to say about the human spirit. Technology enhances man's life but it is artificial, so it can only help its creators so much, and Night reminding his dad of that. My only complaint about this story (aside from Burst being quick to catch on to Blitz's plan but it is a thing that could happen and Blitz doesn't know that Burst does so the story still has a conflict until Blitz get's in the fray himself) is that you set the bar really high here. Akage vs. his brother would make sense in a smaller scale context of conflict but the others probably can't top invading the school without potentially making Blitz an anticlimax. Though I could very easily be wrong without having to tell you how to avoid this (one of your strengths from the start was always knowing when to bring epicness in to the setting and how much to put in each one, even if the context doesn't make the character as epic as the conflict tried to make them out to be, and now that you know how to make a working context...)
