Sassy Saddles has gotten used to Rarity asking her for favors when the occasion arises, such is the life of being business partners after all. But this time, Sassy thinks Rarity is asking the impossible!
Bringing Sweetie Belle along on a trip to Canterlot Carousel, Rarity is forced to leave Sweetie in Sassy's care when the fashionista realizes she has an important meeting with a client that she cannot be late for! Much to Sassy's displeasure, as she thinks foals of all ages are a hoofful.
But perhaps, Sweetie Belle will change Sassy's perceptions? After all, Sweetie Belle is a well meaning filly. Surely a filly as sweet and well intentioned as her can't be too much trouble for a couple of hours, right?

Nice work! Sassy is an interesting character, it's a shame frankly we don't get more stories focused on her.
8073545 Yeah, that is a real shame. I think it's specifically because of her debut and the fact that she's only been in one other episode (the one directly after it in terms of air date) that more people haven't written stuff for her. But hey, apparently she was popular enough to get her own character tag in the update, so I guess that counts for something.
8073059 8073082 All mistakes have been corrected, thank you for catching them.
8073653 I want to do a Sassy focused story (Or at least one with her as a supporting character) someday, but I don't know how to use her. Then again, characters with very little appearances can be expanded on in any way you like. That's half the fun with one-shot or background characters, after all.
8073806 Eh, I think if it helps you can use her appearance in "Rarity Investigates" as a guide. There, it seems like she's a bit of a straightmare to Rarity's antics. You know, less on the dramatic side and more of a realist.
Awwww so cute
But if she thought Swettie Belle was hard wait until she has to foalsit the cake twins or flurry heart?
8074740 I can already imagine Sassy saying: "I don't do diapers!"
Well, Sassy had to work to keep her cool (not an unexpected reaction form someone who doesn't deal with fillies often), but she seemed to adapt rather well. She was firm in her demands, but never went overboard and took the time needed to get to know Sweety Belle. Nice story. Keep up the good work.

What kind of parents are they, anyway?
This was pretty adorable.
I DO have a pretty good idea on what that accusation fic will be, but I won't say it to avoid spoiling it for anyone else.
8085335 Well, it's still somewhat up in the air what it'll be about. It's dependent on something that may or may not be revealed in Season 7. Also, I'm not gonna say much now, but plans have been changed a little bit. You should know more tomorrow afternoon.
I like Sassy. I still think she and Rarity should have made some sort of compromise rather than Sassy just abandoning her philosophy.
8362573 I just wish we could get a Sassy centered episode at some point, even just have her be a supporting character for one of Rarity's episodes. She has good chemistry with her and can play off her well.

Unfortunately they kind of undermined that in her introduction. It would have been a very good lesson for Rarity to have to strike a compromise. That's something everyone needs to do as their business expands. It becomes less and less personal and more and more corporate. I think the main conflict between the two is their differing viewpoints with Sassy being corporate minded and Rarity artistic minded. Yet the two mares have the same drive and energy for what they do.
That's what I like about Sassy. She's business oriented and really good at it yet she's still very perky and passionate. She can let her passion get the best of her at times and needs to be put in her place but she means well and has a heart for what she does. I think she would have been able to find some sort of middle ground with Rarity as they share the same passion for the industry, just from different viewpoints.
I really would like to see Sassy get an episode someday.
This was a fun and sweet (pardon the pun) story.
