When a strange ship mysteriously appears and begins to harass the shipping along the Equestrian coastline, Princess Celestia sends the Elements of Harmony to investigate. Reports are odd to say the least, the ship is gigantic compared to normal standards, yet so fast that the fastest Royal Cutter cannot catch it, it requires no sail and usually attacks at night. Twilight and her friends enact a daring strategy to catch these pirates which unintentionally backfires and they find themselves the captives rather than the captors. Things are not looking good for the main six until they find that these pirates are not all they seem.

7966644 I was actually pretty hesitant to bring the changeling into the story due to the over saturation of stories featuring changelings recently. As for Wendigo pirates. . . Well, it is a pretty mixed crew. :)

Twilight seems to have this idea of them knowing how the ship is made when they have said they only found it.
This story is great and shows that Equestria has a distasteful sight on anything that isn't normal or perfect. If some creature looks different from them; they gave them the stinkeye. If a different race has their ways of purpose; the ponies either get rid of them or stomped them out of their homelands just because they have a different way of life. I think that the Magic of Friendship is corrupting them, making things perfect in their ways as ponies. It makes me wonder if the Tree of Harmony is really a source of good since anything powerful comes with a price.
