An excellent look into Starlight's mindset, post-finale.

Awe, such a sweet story. I enjoyed it! :pinkiehappy:

To be honest, I find Starlight's view a bit ... naive, for lack of better word. So, she and Thorax made every her changeling to betray her, and then she just offers friendship like nothing happened?

True. I just tried to focus on how she would have felt. She seems like the kind of character who dwells on mistakes a lot and doesn't expect anybody else to help, so I went for an approach that showed her having troubles with that one unfortunate bit of Chrysalis not accepting the offer. Of course, everybody knows it's not a big deal, but she seems like someone who would ruminate on stuff like that.

7722688 That's the goal! Thanks for reading. Also, your profile pic is adorable

Why had the queen been so hesitant to accept her friendship? What did she have to lose?

I didn't finish reading this yet I had to comment on this. Starlight Glimmer has just cost Chrysalis everything. Her rule. Her home. Her subjects/children. Did Starlight forget what she was like when she lost her town? Did she forget what she tried to do?

Sometimes, actions really do speak louder than words.:pinkiesad2:

Wait until Twilight reads Starlight's rendition of "Stone Cold Justice" (on this site). Then she'll find out what's really going on inside that crazy little mind of hers.

Another well written fic from you.

One of the most difficult lessons to learn in life is the reality that, ultimately, whether someone will accept redemption or not is up to them. We can't change people, even when we do everything right. I enjoyed this fic.

On a lighter note, it's probably good that she didn't go to Rainbow about this. Response probably would have been more like, "Hey, don't take it so hard. Sometimes them's the breaks, eh? We straight up killed Sombra." And then the backup singers would have broken into "He had it coming!"
