I have played around with some hypnosis recordings myself, but since getting a really bad case of tinnitus from a burst eardrum, I can't just shut down enough for them to even partially work anymore (mostly just stuck to the "relax and chill" type ones).

Usually, when I need advice, I have a friend who is a practicing hypnotist who I ask, and they are (thankfully) very understanding.

These stories take a middle-ground between actual hypnosis and fantasy, with enough of the former in place that a little "this is a magical world" handwaving is not too jarring.

Having the subject immediately enter into a submissive state and reply with "master" no matter how little prep or instructions they have actually gotten. That kind of stuff.

As for satire, the vast majority of readers here will never get it.
