But mostly because when it comes to the truest holiday nightmare of Ponyville, the thing which sends colts, fillies, and adults galloping their screaming way into the night?

No: other than blog posts, I should be taking the next few days more or less off.
Truthfully? Sometimes when I finish an extended period of writing, I feel drained, as if I'd just completed a workout which ran at least an hour into overtime. Unnoticed was just about a full-scale marathon: it took me three days to get the first 2500 words, and then everything after that? Emerged in one.
After this last burst, I need a little time just to recover.
And possibly Gatorade.
...fine. Propel.
Yet another joy, I see. Rarity is just so wonderfully melodramatic yet deadly serious about her work and it is always funny o see how she handles things or, in this case, Haloween.
Oh goodness, that chapter title. I don't know whether to laugh or groan.
In any case, this was fantastic. It's probably a very good thing Luna never paid Rarity a visit during that one fateful Nightmare Night. Who knows what Rarity might have done? To say nothing of Luna's reaction.

You write Raritys' melodrama so well, it's delightful to read of the strange and unusual horrors that occur in the Boo-tique, and to imagine what kind of therapy bills the parents of those poor little traumatised foals will be facing in the future.

Rarity opens the door and stares aghast at the ABOMINATION he's wearing: colors clash in every direction, burlap wraps around silk, poorly tied bows half cover oddly-shaped patches of sequined velvet. A straw hat and high collar interfere with each other each time he tilts or turns his head.
Her eyes narrow in rage, knowing the Troll King's propensity for provocation, but before she can say a word, Alondro whips out the largest, stickiest, sourest, acidic tooth-etching, super-suger-filled candy in the world and shoves the whole thing into his mouth, chewing slowly with a confrontational glare. "Your move," he says.
Twilight and AJ, watching from afar, slowly begin to retreat... for they know... IT... IS.... ON!!!
Cue imagining of a humanoid robot in a Royal Guard armor set (adapted for the massive build and humanoid shape) going to Rarity's place. Cue stumped Rarity. Cue forceful ejection from the boutique.

There's something almost shocking in the way you use sentences, Estee. There's a leaping sensation between one thought and the next. That can be slightly hard to keep up with at times, but it makes for such a rush. It's like each paragraph is charged to capacity and is one little errant touch away from exploding.

Rarity takes the automaton into the Boutique and begins removing the armour to make her improvements.
Of course, since it's essentially nothing but armour she'll remove a piece of metal and find herself looking straight through the torso.
Panic-struck, she rushes over to the library to ask for help and possibly legal advice, believing that she's somehow killed the poor minotaur.
As Twilight attempts to get all the details, Rarity happens to declare that although the poor dear wasn't very communicative, she certainly hadn't thought she'd hurt them. She just doesn't know what went wrong.
Unfortunately Dulcinea happened to be nearby, overheard this comment and assumed Rarity was making fun of her, causing Dulcinea to harbour a permanent, low-grade grudge against Rarity that poisons what might have eventually been a wonderful friendship in the future.
Oh, the automaton?
Twilight takes a look and quickly figures out that it's just mechanical. It all gets blown off as a strange prank.

EQG Rarity is so much worse. Everything and everyone is seen through the filter of *pose* FASHION! Poor Tabitha, all those other VAs characters getting some interesting progression, and hers is regressing to a one track mind.

I honestly kind of like how the EqG versions of the girls are, generally speaking, less mature and more teenager than the Mane Six. (Especially Rainbow Dash; pony Dash is a lot more mature than her bipedal version.)
