I couldn't perfectly, of course. But I've read a few stories where cards stayed around nearly the entire game, and there were so many I couldn't keep track of. This, however, had quick effects, leading to less memorization being required.

I see. Well, I am glad that mine was apparently much more easier to follow in comparison to others that have tried this idea. The main idea was to keep the duel close to the Anime as possible, as opposed to the competitive way most duellists play today.
