Glen Gorewood

Hello and many salutations, I am a writer/ editor who has been stalking stories here for a few months now and finally gathered the courage to make an account. Cheers!

Sequels1

T

Trickles down the path they go, whisper not for you they'll know. Trickles love something good to eat, little ponies make tasty treats. Be silent now as they go by, do not look them in the eye. Do not stop and do not stare, pretend they aren't even there.

Trickles down the path they go, horrors from beyond the known.

Trick or Treat from Glen Gorewood, one of my October offerings for your enjoyment.

After you read this, let me know if you want a sequel.

If you down vote please leave a comment as to why. It helps me improve.

That was awesome. Spooky. But Awesome. You should write a sequel.

Also. You may need to change this.

Applejack protests at the thought.

Thank you for catching that error, I'll fix it right away.
And thank you for the compliment as well, I have an idea in mind for a sequel.

It is fixed.

Applejack shakes her head, denying Zecora's words.

Glen Gorewood

Horrifying. Have a like. :raritywink:

7613358
Why thank you, on both accounts.

Glen Gorewood

7613353 Not quite. It should be Applebloom not AppleJack. And I look forward to seeing you bring that idea to life.

Some nights I swear I need more caffeine..Thank you for pointing it out to me once more.
I edited it, and must now check to make sure I did not make the mistake elsewhere.

I hope not to disappoint, though first before the sequel...Truffles.

Glen Gorewood

Wait, I don't understand. Were Spike and the Crusaders even actually there?

7613637
At one point yes...I intentionally left it open for interpretation.
There is a line or two that gives a hint early on as to what happened, I just added a space in the story to clarify where. They were there, where they are now is up to interpretation till the Sequel comes out.

Creepy. Kind of reminds me of a movie I saw once. Can't remember the name but the people started melting and becoming "blob-like" creatures that absorbed those around them. Really ghastly stuff!

I always found it kind of difficult to empathize with Zecora. Her way of rhyming everything kind of annoys me at times--I mean, imagine knowing someone who speaks like that. :rainbowderp:

I liked the ambiance. When's the sequel coming out?

And as for the down-voter....:twilightangry2: Here's a like for you, my friend.

There are many movies like that, I could pm you a list later to see if you recall which one. And thank you, I was going for creepy and unnerving I'm glad I hit the mark.

That is understandable, the sequel won't just have Zecora; there will be other ponies and it will explain a few things.
This is the first two part story in a series of stories based around unusual life forms. I hope you don't like truffle fungus too much..

Thank you my friend, and the Sequel will be out in a week or so. Right now I am finishing up other projects, so my own writing is being postponed till next week.

Even if she's fleeing for her life, and even if that mare turned out to be a changeling, that's a bitch move on Zecora's part. What if she'd been carrying Spike on her back? Would she have knocked him off to distract the monster? The very thought is heartbreaking. If there's a sequel, that monster should catch up with her and do her in. Let fairy tale justice be done.

The sequels are happening, life unfortunately happened to me so the first one has yet to be published.

Fairy tale justice is not always straight forward, sometimes dying is the best thing that can happen to a pony in a fairy tale, and living is the worst. It all depends on what kind of story you are in. The changeling will be mentioned in the sequel, and I should note that I like tossing little things in my stories that seem insignificant but may be more important than they appear. The changeling isn't the only thing of note, however the rest won't be revealed until the first sequel of the series. As for fairy tale justice, just ask any pony who has visited "The Statuary Stop" if there are fates worse than death. I can assure you justice exists, and death is not the only form it takes.

She knew the whole story so why did she tell the fake cmc the story at all?

To her frantic mind, Zecora sees the mare as merely an obstacle

So did she not realize it was another entity in the forest at first? She didn't register as another life about to be in danger or was she thinking it was just a trick to slow her down?
I don't think she normally would have done something so cruel, tripping her, even though it is suspicious one would be in the Everfree alone at that time.
