Queen Chrysalis is in a bad spot. Twilight Sparkle had made a fool out of here so many times, she's now the laughingstock of her own kingdom. Her royal coffers are empty, and her subjects are defecting to new lands daily. To top it off, her daughter Pupa is whiny, wimpy, and generally an embarrassment to her name.
But that might all change when she pays a visit to the Goddess of the Changelings, who "blesses" her with a new power, to turn anything she touches into gold. Now she can defeat Twilight Sparkle and increase her riches... or she could fail and lose her greatest treasure in the process.
Commissioned by Magic Man. The OC Pupa is his invention, seen in Pupa-chan and Maternal Instinct. However, this is a different take on her, and is not in the same universe, so you don't need to read those to understand this.

Whatever she touches becomes gold, huh? Yeah, let's see how this turns out for you, Chrysalis! I have read the Greek story of the king with the same curse. I know this won't turn out well at all already, but I'm still going to read it just so I say 'told you so!' to Chryssie when it happens.
By the way, spoiler warning folks - next MLP episode will have a talking Changeling named Thorax and one of the ones afterwards will have ponies playing football. Season 6 is one hell of a season.

Also, when I read in the description that anything chrysalis touched turned to gold, I thought of that scene in 'the carbonaro effect' where Michael starts turning stuff into gold. Am I the only one who thought of that?
Not many stories where Chrysalis is comic relief instead of a dangerous threat. I can't wait to see how this whole thing screws her over.

Once again, you did a great job on the exchanges, emotional content, humor and future chapter set-up in all the right places. And, yeah, Chrysalis dug herself into a pretty deep hole with her vendetta. Then again, even the greats among cartoon and comic book super-villains make that exact same mistake (Lex Luthor and Doctor Doom just being TWO of the most famous examples). It just goes to show just how right David Xanatos is in that revenge is a sucker's game. I'll definitely be looking forward to more of this as soon as time and inspiration will allow.

Chrysalis is definitely enjoying her new ability a bit too much and Pupa's obviously been taking lessons from Amanda Waller. Okay, sorry about the half-joke on the latter half.
Maybe one of the more competent Royal Guards or Wonderbolts could try dropping a good-sized boulder on Chrysalis, which would teach Chrysie one of the drawbacks of gold; it's VERY heavy in large amounts.

As usual, excellent job on the exchanges, emotional content, action and future chapter set-up in all the right places. Several characters made quite a few good points AND I really liked Pupa proving to be a more competent leader than her mother (despite her mother being MUCH more powerful and more experienced). I also enjoyed seeing Cocoon comforting Pupa following the latter's conversation with Chrysalis at the end of the chapter. I'll definitely be looking forward to more of this as soon as time and inspiration will allow.

Not much I can say other than, once again, excellent job on this final chapter. It took a while, but was well worth the wait. Again, the exchanges, emotional content, action, humor and wrap-up were all well done in all the right places. Wow, over already? I think that was a fun story. I was a little surprised when Chrysalis actually succeeded in turning Twilight and the others to gold, but what she did to her own daughter eliminated any victory she might have felt. Loved all the scenes between Twilight and Spike, and with that ending scene between Pupa and Cocoon you could make a sequel if you ever wanted to or were commissioned. A funny epic story, just what I expect from you.

Chrysalis started things off on a very amusing note, and Pupa was introduced as a character I sorta wanted better things for. But now Pupa and Cocoon are discussing such hideous and heartless tactics that all I want for her is one of the alicorns snapping each of her legs, one by one, while telling her she deserves to suffer in retribution for all the horrible things she's done to ponies, and all the horrible things she intends for them.
7659543 Not in this universe. Darth Link 22 is one of the supporters of Spike being more of a son to Twilight then a brother, I myself also view them as mother and son. Really their relationship can be shown in either way depending on the fan.
