For ages, the Tree of Harmony has been the unknown source of peace and friendship to all the ponies of Equestria. However, that times is at an end.
Now, Harmony walks among the world with a...unique and still changing form of its own. Some might wonder why? Why is the embodiment of Harmony suddenly living and talking among them all? The answer is simple: to make friends.
The Mane 6, The Princesses, and even Discord are saddled with the interesting issue of teaching Harmony how to live.
Now if only it could stop falling over its four front feet.

Why do I think that Discord is going to attack it the moment he sees it? Purely instinctual of course, and Harmony would have to attack him.

i got to admit this is an interesting story.
Well... this is interesting...
So...Harmony has never heard or contemplated of dog tails, cat tails, really almost any mammal tails, nor any bird tails? Well, tail feathers but the point remains. I mean, those are two rather specific varieties of tails to focus on when there are many varieties commonly seen in nature.
You know, when i read this line, I imagined an incredibly gaudy six legged crystaline being with with absolutely no color coordination that will give Rarity a heart attack if she so much as glances in its direction.
Reason I mention this is that, sometimes, when someone thinks they look good, a lot of times they really don't, and it's only in their mind that they look good.
A word of advice-this is not a smooth transition. In fact, I don't consider it a transition at all. Hell, a single line or a horizontal rule would be a better transition, if for no other reason than it doesn't really break immersion by shouting "timeskip" and is typically used to change scenes, at least on this site.
Well, this is an interesting start and seems to hold potential, although it could use a few more proofreads and editing.

In order?
1. Harmony has had its entire life in a cave, in the bottom of a ravine, in the Everfree forest. It may know of those animals, but it hasn't actually seen many of them, so doesn't have grand idea of how to visualize them.
2. I believe your over imagining the potency of the colors: The lines keep saying it is "tinted" with those shades, not its body parts are solid shades of those. Besides, as stated, Harmony's form is still going to change with time.
3. (shrugs) Meanwhiles and Timeskips are how I've been changing scenes for about half a decade. This is literally the first complaint I've ever gotten about them, here or on fanfiction.

7479914 Honestly, I wouldn't mind a "meanwhile". It's just the using timeskip as a...timeskip is somewhat immersion breaking. It's not too bad in all honesty, but it is there.
