What started out as a normal day leads Celestia to noticing that her subjects are starting to display strange and even impossible powers. Not only that, but more and more creatures are showing this by the day, from the birds to the dragons to herself, with powers ranging from simply breathing underwater to summoning the dead.
As Equestria quickly becomes the Land of Superpowers, Twilight and the Princesses must try and hold the country together as confused ponies, young and old, try to make sense of their new abilities while worrying over just what powers certain individuals might have gained.
Discord, the initial subject, doesn't respond to royal summons nor has anyone seen him in awhile, casting a suspicious light on him. When he does show up, well, its not at all what anyone expected.
A Story that will probably include/mention everyone at some point or another, pony or otherwise.

Supposition: it's a reactive force-field, reducing or blocking anything that strikes it... with force. Depending on its level/power supply, it could stop anything from a freight train to being in a planet sandwich... but someone can still pinch your nose or break your leg in a grapple, or slowly cut you open with a knife.
That said, it should be interesting to see what everybody has. Philomena and Tiberius are Giant Monsters of the Week (would've been funnier if they were full-on Kaiju... maybe that's only the lowest tier of their ability?) Celestia has Shadow Tentacles (Pinkie: I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going!) Scoots has unwinged flight (Gravity control? Momentum alteration? It'sMagicIDon'tHaveToExplainShit?) Sweetie has Mirror Walk (Hrm. Note to self, AMG crossover idea with Button Mash or Spike in place of Keiichi) And either Winona or Apple Bloom has some kind of multiplication or temporal effect (Not quite sure what's happening there...) while Twilight has some form of Limited Invincibility.

7489837 question tho, whats the limits of critters that can get powers, we have seen that of a possum getting some, maybe its limited to only anything ether a vertebrate critter(anything with a spine , so that counts every mammal , bird and large reptile like alligators) ,or has the ablilty to think even without a mammal like structure, Like changelings them being bug based and such yet can already do magic. so whats the verdict on those, cant leave out anything important you know, everyone with a brain that can think and even do magic normally gets these, from the smallest breezie,( yes those guys) to the largest dragon.

Do the ponies with powers like fire and super speed also have the required secondary powers to not be hurt by them themselves? Like, does Luna has immunity to fire?
Have you ever heard of a new animated series on YouTube called Abnormalities? Basically, people can develop powers seemingly at random, and every time they get a new ability, it means their last one becomes much stronger and easier to control. The limit on powers is five, at which point the Abnormality stops aging, gains a healing factor, and has extremely powerful abilities.
This kind of reminds me of that. I like it.

For the most part, not TOO dark. Its mainly for ponies that don't react well to the whole superpower situation, and some ponies have down right horrifying abilities.

Swore I reviewed this already, but love it! Discord had powers shift from chaos to pure ice, but the sheer intensity is on the same. Meaning he's not as powerful as his chaos abilities, but he's got Alicorn+ level control over ice. That's damn dangerous.
