EDITED: Vampires in Ponyville. It seems that everypony likes long chapters for unknown reasons, so I'm going to split these chapters into several bigger ones. I'm also going to call them episodes, and make each separate story into a season. Ex: The next story would be season two of this.
ATTENTION: This is no longer a prequel, but the actual long story.
Throughout the story, Rainbow's story will be told. All of the main six will be added in at some point, as well as other characters, so you'll just have to see who is introduced next!
Vampires in Ponyville is about a small village in Equestria, overrun by vampires in plain sight. Their most important figures are vampires, and their best athletes are as well. Even their elements are not as they seem...
The vampires that dwell in this place have lived secretively for a long time. But when trouble happens, and ponies show up drained of blood, what is our little town to do? Retaliate of course. Fight of course. Plot of course. Corrupt of course. And above all, stick with your friends, even if you do unwittingly or unheedingly...
This is the story of Rainbow Dash, out for revenge with a vendetta against Twilight Sparkle. And the best way to get through to an old pal, is through her stomach. Because Twilight is gonna be sick once she's done with her...
However, this is also the story of Twilight's frantic balance between dark and light, and blood and water...
As this is an alternate universe, the characters have different roles and professions.
Rainbow Dash: A pony out for revenge, and she's gonna get it.
Vinyl Scratch: Rainbow's 'friend'
Twilight Sparkle: Rainbow's long time 'friend', who got kicked off the friends list the second they became enemies.
Midnight: The person who played Rainbow. And Twilight.
Okay. Figured I'd include the different types of vampiric benefits that come with each different type of pony.
Earth Pony: Strength increased, however if weak in past life, than strength is not as strong as other vampires who were already strong alive. They get faster. And they also sparkle.
(jk, that's lame.) They get more strength than speed.
Pegasi: Strength increased by just how much the earth ponies are. Except they get way faster. Ever wonder how Rainbow is so fast? Her eyes are already red so whenever she uses her powers you can't tell. Their physical traits are increased. They get more speed than strength.
Unicorns: These ponies are privileged. They can turn into bats! Yay! Stereotypes! Their magic tends to turn to darker colors when they're turned. Ex: Twilight's magenta magic color would become dark red. They aren't particularly gifted with strength or speed. Instead they get prettier. I mean they get a little bit stronger... But that's it.
And one last thing, these effects are the same for all of the pony types. Their eyes all turn red when attacking or using their abilities. And they all turn a darker shade. For example, Rainbow would be a couple shades darker. Twilight's color might also change. Instead of having a lilac pelt, she would have a dark plum purple pelt. And her mane would be black, with streaks of dark purple and dark red in it. Rainbow would have the colors in her mane replaced with dustier versions. Her yellow would become more of a gold, her bright red would become blood red, and her purple would become dark purple. She would dull. Their cutie marks are also affected. They get duller too.

So I havent finishing reading this chapter partially because it is kind of written in a confusing manner. For example how do rainbow dash and vinyl scratch know what each other is thinking? Also the beginning feels like it could use some additional details. Still it is an interesting story keep up the good work.
EDIT: Also it just seems a little weird that while Rainbow Dash is a vampony, she is so ready to dismiss that they are real in the first chapter. Personally I think the pilot would be a bit easier if perhaps it was written from Vinyl's perspective and not from both her perspective and Rainbow Dash's perspective. But that is just my opinion.
