When Twilight Sparkle comes down deathly ill, it is a race against time to get her the help she needs to recover. Will her friends be willing to accept any help to save her, even if it comes from the most unlikely pony imaginable?

Your resident grammar Nazi would like to remind me that question marks go after questions.
Other than that, it was pretty well written- the dialogue was IC and the storyline was rather captivating.
Just something I have to note is the fact that Pinkie and Fluttershy were actually in Trixie's crowd when she was performing, so they know who she is. They were only background characters and didn't speak, but it was kind of a "Blink and you miss it" deal. They're standing right next to the other four members of the Mane Six when the camera pans to show the character's reaction. Just it's just a minor detail, and I wanted to mention it. Great story btw.

In subsequent viewings of Boast Busters I came to realize the same thing. When I originally wrote this story it just didn't register to me that they were actually there since their appearances were in cameo form only.
I'm tempted to take this story down, give it some revising and put it back up for re-consideration, but if I do it'll be after some of the other writing projects I have in the pipeline currently.
Real nice story... but I can't help but laugh at the ending...
"instead of discarding it as she usually did with her student's reports"
Trollestia attacks again. Problem?
Faved, i like this story and it's portrayal of trixie as well as the rest of the mane cast.
But to err is human.
Ah, love this story. Read it on ff.net as well. Great way to have Trixie go back to Ponyville there.
And to forgive equine.
Very nice story, quite touching. I like the idea of redemption stories for the minor quasi-villans of Season 1. Beautiful background you came up with there for
As much as I dislike Trixie, I AM willing to read redemption fics for her if it's done plausibly and without pairing her with Twilight. I must say this is the second best Trixie Redemption I've seen, and thankfully, no Twixie (I always found that ship impossible, as there's no way Twilight would be infatuated with somepony who treated her friends that way. Considering she was willing to engage her mentor's wrath to protect one of them, for example)
The whole thing feels a little rushed, but then this kind of context can't be dragged out, and I still found it reasonably in character. I especially liked the part where Pinkie was watching over Twilight, very moving, and bringing in Sweetie Bell to watch Twilight as well was a nice touch. Loved the part with the Pinkie Swear as well. I almost broke off from this when you brought in that seventh Element of Harmony, as that is way too easy a cliche to go with. However, in my opinion it was handled well, so I stayed through the whole thing and found it quite plausible, especially with the characters themselves not being able to find an explanation.
Solid, well thought out fic overall, and one I've added to my favorites, like I did over on Fanfiction.net
27305 Indeed. An obvious reference... but what did you expect? The story fit the title perfectly.
On another note... WHY IS THIS NOT CANNON!?
Liking everything so far, except Twi not wanting to contact the Princess. If she was "just sick" I would understand, but she's the Element of Magic. Her life is more than just her own, her powers are needed to safeguard the world from evil. Her life being threatened is a matter of national security.
Also, shouldn't she be in the shower to cool that horn down a bit?
Chapter 2, was touching but I had issues with it.
First, I don't really like the way you handwaved Trixie's arrogance and cruelty. Her tragic story EXPLAINS a lot of her behavior, but does not really excuse it. The part of her act where she humiliates others is not something that makes sense in a "misunderstood" character.
Second, I'm pretty sure Celestia doesn't throw out Twilight's reports. Even before S2 this is a somewhat silly idea, considering these are technically school project reports.
I remember reading this over at Fanfiction. Glad to see it here.
I liked it. Good job.
I have to comment...
Where was Zecora during all of this?
The field of herbs is too far for anypony but Rainbow to get there in time, but Zecora's is only an hour or so away, and she's known for having a stockpile of rare and medicinal herbs. Considering Horn Pox is a fairly common disease (and Zecora had the cure for Cutie Pox, an extinct disease, regardless of whether or not it was magically implemented), You'd think the mane six (five?) would visit the resident potion master first.
Just a bit of fridge logic.
I like redemption stories like this that really make me feel bad for the character. Also the way Trixie cared for Twilight was sweet. :3
I was lead to this story due to a post in a group that I am a part of. I normally try to stay away from stories that have the 'Tragedy' tag which is why I haven't read it sooner. I am so glad I read this though. This was a very touching story. Have a like and a fav.
This was beautifully done. I love redemption fics, and I've always liked the idea of there being other lesser-known elements, but it's nigh impossible to write such a story without entirely upending the canon universe. You've done a masterful job of it.
What is this weird feeling in my chest?
