The only thing wrong here is that the number after an Exo's name is how many times they've had to be rebooted since they were built. This results in them loosing memories of that life, essentially becoming a new person. In Adric's case, he's been rebooted nine times. Banshee-44's dialogue heavily implies that.

All ponies have magic how else could earth ponies use scissors or door knobs. My theory is that ponies have a contact telokentick field that allows them to use and hold things with hooves so they don't need to pull a trigger with hoof but flex the frog of the hoof to constrict the magic field to pull the trigger.
