How quaint.

T

They say when I saved the Traveler from the horrors of the Black Garden, I became legend.

How presumptuous of them.

I didn't deserve such a glorified title, nor did I want it. I was a Guardian with a Ghost, Light, a few earthly possessions, and a purpose. A singular purpose, shared by all resurrected Guardians - to defend the Traveler and, by extension, the myriad life it allied itself with.

And I did my job by the book.

With my given task completed, the Darkness at bay and the Last City focusing on rebuilding, I departed. Aloof and utterly aimless, I traveled to other planets and tried in vain to ascertain my new purpose as I carved a swathe into scores of Fallen, Hive, and even the ancient Vex in the Vault of Glass.

As destiny would have it, the Speaker had ulterior plans for me at the Tower.

Destiny Crossover. Human tag is intentionally missing. Legend is based on vanilla Destiny, but will contain elements from all of the DLCs.

I own nothing.

You finally did it, you finally wrote the bloody thing. Took ya long enough. *Adds to read later* Good on ya mate.

Now... back to Classy rage.

5336576

Actually, it's the sixth one I've planned, and the newest... :twilightsheepish:

But yeah. I'm surprised, too.

I like it, more please.

5336981

:yay: Thank you, kind sir! Coming up soon, the Tower!

destiny crossovers.. megusta

Take all of the exotic weapons! ... Well most of them anyways.
Word is such a pretty tool of mass destruction.

Also as a Titan I must question your lifestyle, but as a fellow Exo I insist that you bring the pain.

Take all of the exotic weapons! ... Well most of them anyways.

Least he didn't bring Gjallarhorn. :applejackunsure: Goodbye to Equestria if that happens...

As a Warlock, I am sometimes confused by Titans' tendency to smash things, but it is an acceptable trait in battle.

And yes, fellow Exo. There will be pain. And fire. :pinkiecrazy:

5360928

There's a good man. :moustache:

So fat this is one of the best Destiny crossovers that I have read. Keep the updates coming:twilightsmile:

Silly Twilight, you overlooked a book about the Darkness! but then again, the hordes of angry green Thralls might've jumped out and got ya if you had looked....

With the recent dlc release, I see what you did there. Keep up the good work though.

5381197

Who's to say that Equestria doesn't coincidentally have a book titled "The Dark Below"? :scootangel:

hordes of angry green Thralls might've jumped out and got ya if you had looked....

The Servant of the Hand has been disturbed... :twistnerd:

5382406 Servaant of the Hand=Destiny's Slender Man. I give him hugs with my fist all the time :pinkiecrazy:

Well, well, well, look what we have here. I remove my hat to you, competitor, for you are the truest form of competition. This story. Is well written, and very well paced. I am only opposed to the fact you chose a Warlock to be the important one. At least it's not a. Hunter.

Seriously though, good luck! I'll be following your story for inspiration to make my own with.

Technically speaking, in Destiny the moon does have an atmosphere. You can see clouds floating in the sky, why the sky is black I do not know. It defies planetary science.

5387079

:rainbowderp:

Oh crap. I was a bit unsure of that when I began playing the game. I looked it up, played the game, went through the Grimoire, and lo and behold: nothing! I eventually developed my own head canon that the Moon was without an atmosphere, gravity was increased by the Traveler or by one of the many human-built contraptions to make work more manageable, and the sound we hear is a result of some wave/Light-based technobabble (apologies, I'm not very good with these kinds of things). I observed the edifices in the Moon were not built to accommodate life, therefore the Moon having an atmosphere would be redundant. Plus, the "clouds" in the sky could just be byproducts of humanity's expansion on the Moon, no? :duck:

5387464

You also aren't able to see stars from the moon; it's surface is too reflective.

5408162

I honestly don't recall writing about the sky in the Patrol chapter... Did I? :rainbowderp:

If so, just point it out and I'll fix it.

5408856

No, just a footnote. :twilightsheepish:

I don't recall a description of the sky. I do, however, remember something about the Houston Center removing the stars on the moon exhibit quite a while ago for that reason.

Ah, Celestia. The worst ruler of all time. It is easy to keep peace amongst a species that abhores violence and conflict. In the show, all of her decisions are very, very bad and things are saved only by the Mane Six and sheer luck. Now she sticks her head in the sand by telling herself the conflict in the Sol system was in a different universe. She also makes the very bad decision of not telling Luna.

Of course, her vision didn't last long enough for her to see humanity's victory in spite of the Traveler essentially going into a coma.

5387079

How does the Moon's sky being black defy planetary science? The Lunar surface is too reflective for the stars to be visible. I think an earlier commenter said the same. The clouds are easily explained by *gasp* terraforming.

5459518

:scootangel: Heh. Yeah, I do think that Celestia is oft portrayed as an incompetent ruler who'd much rather leave the world's problems to a group of six unarmed mares.

But in this story, I didn't really have that in mind. I like to believe that she was trying to prevent a panic by keeping it to herself. Bringing prophecies of doom and all that would send citizens into panic. Not to mention Luna might be a bit skeptical as well.

And her saying that it's a different universe... Well, if I had a vision that the world was about to be destroyed, I'd probably try to convince myself that it wasn't my world, if only for the sake of my own sanity. I wouldn't keep it a secret like Tia does, but I'd try to look into alternative explanations.

The clouds are easily explained by *gasp* terraforming.

:pinkiegasp: That's true! The Hive DID screw with the Moon a lot during the Collapse, such as hollowing it out. Hmm...

I made the mistake of assuming that people understood what was wrong with the black sky. An atmosphere of any thickness acts as a sort of lens that filters in and refracts a frequency of light depending on its density, which is why our sky is blue most of the time. The only truly black sky is one without an atmosphere

Just wondering, will we Crota at all or hear of him?

5476483

I do plan on introducing a few...elements from The Dark Below, yes. :pinkiecrazy:

:pinkiecrazy: Yo man where is the next chapter i'm in the middle of *Nyan cat mode activated* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrCt1wZLDMo

5504190 Whenever i say something that is meme related i put it in a video with a bit of funny stuff. Also Wheatly at 0:44 XD

Stop being good at writing. That's not allowed here.

Moar... YESSSSSSSS, MOARRRRRRRRRRR

Liking and putting it on 'read it later' because of my favorite game.
And it's on a website filled with pony fanfics.

This is gonna be AWESOME!! :pinkiehappy:

5615894

I sincerely hope I don't disappoint, then. Thanks! :yay:

FINALLY PONIES!!!!!!!! :pinkiehappy:
I LITERALLY STARTED VIBRATING IN MY SEAT WHEN THEY CAME OUT OF THE WARP!!!!

Keep on making more I like where this is going! :pinkiehappy:

Thanks for the awesome chapter im looking toward to the next one! :pinkiehappy:

It is good to see story update Comrade Warlock!

Next you will make plans to crush the minions of darkness for the glory of the Traveler.

Be safe Guardian and I will ensure everything remains ok until your return.
On my honor as a Titan I do so swear.

5616774

But of course, mysterious Titan bro! Go kill Crota a few times for me while I'm gone, wouldja? :raritywink:

Guardian camaraderie is best camaraderie. :moustache: With the exception of, you know, brony camaraderie.

Good to see this update, but I'm not sure how Exodus' possession of almost all of the exotic weapons and armor fits in to the Destiny canon, seeing as how they are supposed to be one of a kind, game mechanics not withstanding of course, just seems a little OP to me.

5616958

That's very understandable, and I appreciate it. First real bit of criticism!

But I really did not intend for his possession of multiple exotics to compromise canon. Because they, well, don't. Each and every single one of them is obtainable in-game by a Guardian, and it just attests to the fact that Exodus is a seasoned Guardian that has been there since day one (because he kind of has been there, as I based the protagonist and his possessions off my own Guardian :twilightsheepish:).

While Exotics such as Super Good Advice, Invective, and Thorn are indeed one-of-a-kind, other Exotics are known to have been mass-produced, like SUROS, Plan C, Truth, Icebreaker, and even Gjallarhorn (not saying that Exodus will have these weapons, though), so their obtainment isn't too farfetched, lore-wise.

Also, note the lack of anything DLC; he left on his journey before the Dark Below. That means he won't be sporting anything like Starfire Protocol, No Land Beyond or Necrochasm. I try to keep with time continuities, as petty as it may seem. :trixieshiftright:

And if he still seems OP, next update will level that out. :pinkiecrazy:

Why am I reading super good advices lines in 343 guilty Sparks voice

5672308

:rainbowlaugh: Nice.

I actually wrote its lines hearing the Toaster from Fallout NV in my head. :twilightsheepish:

and that's why you don't do drugs kids!

5701165

Er... I'm sorry. Was that directed towards the story being just bad, or the shifting events in the first chapter? Kinda worrying me here, mate. :unsuresweetie:

5616822 *PFFT* Him really? You're not joking? Only warlocks can kill crota alone. A titan would die fighting him in 50 seconds flat

5730195

Only warlocks

*and Hunters. It's been proven. :rainbowwild:

Hey man, I don't judge based on class!

Ahem... #warlockmasterrace :raritywink:
