LOL I don't know, giving a protagonist super powers isn't nessaily a bad thing. It's what you do with it that can make a story boring or repetitive. I still look forward to seeing where this goes, so please continue.

You don't go from a somewhat relatable character to Gary Stu in a single jump without explaining the hows and whys. Especially not after you spent four chapters getting us invested in this teater totter of his life ending and his equestrian one starting.
That's like someone getting shot and then instead of dying they come back as Jesus
